1. Wanted to import my LJ entries. I tried an assortment of different configurations with LJ’s exporting tool, but FP’s importer gave me errors in the same way each time. It complained that I had made an entry already on 6-12 (the Hello World by default the instant I created the blog, I’m sure) and that I needed to post that the entry was “out of order”, but I had already deleted the original FP entry so I could not.
As it turns out, all I needed to do was keep trying to import the file — once for each entry. It gave me errors on the repeats, post the first new one I tried importing, then give me the same “you’ve already made a post on 6-12″ error. Lather, rinse, repeat.
2. Imported my LJ entries and THEN started adding tags, and no matter what I try, FP just keeps on trying to crosspost (actually, create new) entries as I edit the ones on FP. Result? Duplicate entries on my Livejournal. (A painful experience for any flist/feed reader.)
Went back into my FP settings panel and tried erasing my LJ host/username, just to shut off crossposting for the time being. Then I tried putting a space as my username and re-saving as a last-ditch attempt. Received the same error both times upon attempt to save:
Something went wrong - 302 : Client error: Can’t edit post from requested journal
