well, this community appears to be dead, but there's a bunch of you still watching it according to the profile, so I wanted to post this in the hopes that my efforts didn't go to waste... first of all, if you haven't yet seen it, read today's FoxTrot. Yes, I solved the puzzle:

I know this is a sign that I have way too much free time on my hands, but anyways... In today's strip (11 Jan.), the 'Alpha-Bytes' that Jason eats are arranged into sets of eight, as are characters in binary. They spell out "you nerd". Just thought that was interesting. Bill's usual nerdiness showing (in a good way, of course).

I was hoping you guys might be able to help me.

I'm looking for a Foxtrot comic that came out last year. I used to have it saved on my computer, but it recently crashed so I lost all my files. Anyways, it was Christmas-related. Jason wrote a card and he had it all in math terms. When you solved it, it said, "Merry Xmas".

Does anyone have it?

hi all im new here so i will start by introducing myself

so ok i am 13 years old and just LOVE foxtrot i have been reading it for maybe 3 years now and i love it i have every one of them*is the big book form*except for "my hotdog went out can i have another"but i will hopfully be getting that soon my fave charector would have to be peter jason or quincy so yeah i dont really have a fave strip cuz i like them all!well i hope to post on here again

Hey... does anybody have a copy of that strip where Jason gives a huuuuuge guilt trip to someone (I think it's Peter, but it could be Roger)? It's in a series where one of his games or something got destroyed, and he says "I want you to look into my tear-filled eyes and see the pain that you, and you alone, have caused. Then I want you to die." Peter or Roger: "Oh, great."

I am pretty sure it's in one of the newer, thinnner-but-with-more-strips books. Already checked Foxtrot: Assembled With Care, so it's probably in Foxtrotius Maximus. I remember it being toward the end.

Hey guys, I'm new here.

Ever since one of my brother's friends gave him a Foxtrot comic for his birthday a few years ago, I've been so addicted to them. I love Bill Amend's humor..and especially the way he portrays Jason. So far I own Camp Foxtrot, Enormously Foxtrot, Wildly Foxtrot, and Foxtrot En Masse, but I'm aching to buy another one since I've read those four about a million times already.

Anyway, I also wanted to share one of my favorite strips (I thought this one was HILARIOUS):

I got a Foxtrot day-by-day calendar for christmas, and I was wondering if this strip was online somewhere....it's January 3rd in the calendar.....anyway, it's got Jason thiniking of his new years resolutions, and he's saying how 800x600 is too small, 1024x768 wouldn't be bad....I'd just scan in my image, but our scanner sucks. Have you guys seen the strip where Jason wishes Merry Christmas with complicated mathematical formulae? I loved that one! My younger sis didn't get it and I refused to tell her, saying that someday she'll understand :D

I'm trying desperately to find a specific Foxtrot comic...I hope someone here can help! Through the first few panels, one of the kids (Peter?) notices the seasons are changing inside the house. He goes to his mother and says something along the lines of "Mom, are you listening to Vivaldi?" and she asks if he's cold, and offers to rewind it.

If anyone can help me get ahold of this strip, I'd really appreciate it! Just another example of Amend's genius :D

I love Foxtrot, I discovered them after reading a comic where Quincy is bothering Paige and she keeps telling him to "shoo," and he bites her shoe. lol It's my favorite, and that's why I am posting. Does anyone have strip? I'd really like to find it! Thanks so much!

LotR themed ones, and now I'm head over heels for it *g*

I'm like Paige in that I have an older and a younger brother, but personality wise, I'm probably more a combination of Peter's laziness and Jason's geekiness (except for the math/science part)

FoxTrot is my favorite comic strip :) I don't really know which character I can relate to the most, but my younger brother is nerdy like Jason...
I started reading a while ago, my cousin had a bunch of FoxTrot anthologies and Calvin & Hobbes too. They're all great!

this is a really odd question, and one that should have been asked months ago, but i forgot about it.

In the Jan 4th comic, Jason is building figures out of snow. He was doing plays on the the 'Snowman.' 'Snow-Mantis' 'Snow-Mandible'

But nobody i talked to could figure out what he was making in the last frame?

for those of you who think like jason, i have a great book for you.

it's called Anonymous Rex, and if you haven't read it, you should. it's by Eric Garcia (who wrote Matchstick Men). it's about a detective named Vincent Rubio who's investigating the mysterious death of his partner, Ernie Watson. The catch is, Vincent is a Velociraptor who's guised up like a human (just like 5% of the American population). his partner was a Carnotaurus, and his boss is a T-Rex. i actually just finished reading the prequel, Casual Rex and that made me want to pick up Anonymous Rex.

it would also be pretty cool if Bill Amend did a weeklong series about Jason thinking he's a dinosaur dressed up in a dinosaur costume (possibly thinking he had suffered from Dressler's Syndrome--a fictional conditon where dinosaurs are dressed up in their guises for so long that they start to actually think they're human).

anyway, everyone should really read this book.

hi everyone, i just wanted to make my first post.

i don't know what exactly it was that got me into foxtrot. it started back when i was a senior in high school, though. now, i'm a junior at the university of northern iowa in cedar falls, and my love for foxtrot is still as strong as it was when i started getting the collections from my parents.

oh, yeah. the userpic i have up there is a frame from my favorite strip. i still laugh whenever i read it. it's kinda ironic considering my girlfriend has a mac. as far as what character i identify with the most, i'd say i'm a jason/peter hybrid. i was always the wannabe jock in high school, active in a lot of sports, but not good in any of them. but at the same time, i was the total brain, finishing tests in five minutes or so, with a passion for making my teachers wig out.

So it turns out that the family of one of the kids my brother goes to his new school with lives right next door to Bill Amend. And today, apparently, we drove right past his house, because my dad pointed out the car window and said, "That's where Bill Amend lives." It was a pretty big house on a corner lot. Heh...I'm a real stalker now! :-P
