- Please keep all posts related to Drake & Josh fanfiction.
- No flaming. If you can't say something nice, don't say it at all.
- But with that in mind, please keep your comments constructive.
- Post a warning for any language and/or mature themes.
- Any kind of fic (het, slash, angst, comedy, whatever) is welcome here, but should have some sort of rating on it. Use your best judgement on this.
- Take some time to introduce yourself. It helps the members AND the mods get to know you better.

- Get inspired! Watch episodes, videos, and clips, listen to music, read other fanfic! Find a line or a scene that inspires you and expand on it if you want. Finding something that sparks your creativity will help you write and write well.
- Research your characters well! Having well written dialogue will score you points with readers. If you need to know more about each character, we have provided you with a resource post. It's designed to help you when figuring out the way a character should act or speak, so use it to your advantage.
-Beta, beta, beta!! It's always a good idea to have one or more people read your stories either as you write them or after you've finished writing them. Before posting take the time to read through your stories and have a friend help you fix any spelling, grammar, or just general mistakes. It makes your stories easier to read and easier to like. ;)
-Get to know people in the community! Sometimes talking to someone will spark your creativity. Believe us, some of the best ideas come from two people at three in the morning!
- To be a successful writer remember these three little phrases:
Be original! There's nothing that turns readers off more than seeing ten of the same types of story.
Be creative! An interesting storyline will catch a reader's attention and keep them hooked. Write about something that no one else has. Put everything you think of on paper and then choose from there. There are times when an idea you completely forgot about can come back and save you from your dry-spell.
Have fun!! The worst thing you can do is act like your story is a chore to write. There's no sense in ruining a good story because you got tired of it. Keep it short and work from there. You never know when more ideas will come to you.
