Dragonfly in New York City
 
Me: Is that a dragonfly?
Him: In NYC? Nah. (looking closer) Wait, it is. Huh. Dragonfly in NYC in the Fall.
Me: Wonder where it came from.
Him: Probably Central or Riverside Park. Looks like it's dying.
Me: I'm gonna tell myself that he flew in from somewhere else cause he wanted to see the big city before he died.
Him: (laughing) You do that.
Me: Everyone should see NYC before they go.

I don't think I have - plus it was freezing yesterday when I took the pic.

Wouldn't mind seeing more though. It's the first time I saw one in years, period.

I'm still seeing wasps and bees, and it's ridiculously cold already. The wasps just keep coming into the library to warm up. Before I know it they're going to come up to the counter and order coffee.

Roaches and flies, yes. I've seen them all the time. But dragonflies? I've been here 35 years, it was one of the few times I've seen them and never in the fall.

Where do you see them here?
