Welcome to foto_decadent, a community dedicated to avant-garde fashion photography.


The "Rules":
*PLEASE absolutely no advertising, no linking to outside blogs, communities or other websites as this can quickly become a means for self-promotion. No self-promotion, blatant or otherwise, no amateur work, no attempts to pass off amateur work as anything but, no please, please, please just no.
*Please post one (only one) preview image outside the LJ-cut, along with any info you have on the photos, photographer, etc. The first photo must be 400 pixels or less on the largest side. Limiting the size with html rather than resizing the photo doesn't change the load time and will be noticed and will cause your post to be rejected. Please place all other images after the preview behind an LJ-Cut.
*Please post more than one or two images. Large images are preferred, as are complete editorials / shoots. Collections of images featuring specific designers, photographers, eras, styles, etc are also appreciated.
*Reposting photos that have been posted in the past is NOT a problem! As a commenter, poster, regular viewer, or passing visitor of this community, please do not berate posters for posting something you've already seen. This includes things you've already seen here. I personally have seen enough David LaChapelle shoots to last me about thirty thousand lifetimes while moderating this community but someone else out there is very likely seeing it for the very first time. This community, like most Livejournal communities, has a fluctuating membership that continues to grow daily - what's old to you may very well be brand new to someone else. This community would be nothing without the people who take the time to make these posts so please respect that and if you see something more than once, try to stay strong and charge ahead in life: Just. Scroll. Past. It.
*Please no shoots that are ONLY makeup or ONLY jewelry or ONLY nudity. All are welcomed but this is a fashion community so ideally there should be at least some clothing in your post.
*Please do not use a "fake lj-cut" to redirect users to your own journal.
*Please do not disable, screen or delete comments on your posts.
*Do not hotlink.
*No information and or image request posts ("Who shot this picture?" "What is this model's name?" "What is the circumference of Leibovitz's skull?" "I have a report on the silk trade due tomorrow - do you have pictures I can use???" etc) and no posts full of Livejournal icons you have made, or saved, or collected into post form in one way or another, please.
*Please be nice to each other and exercise some modicum of restraint when it comes to being an asshole. Criticizing photos is different than criticizing individual members. Childish internet drama is 100% unwanted, unwelcomed and unnecessary. If you are being harassed please feel free to contact me. If someone is being an ass, it would make things much, much easier if you'd just let me know and not retaliate but if you do retaliate, I won't hold it against you - although I can assure you it will just drag the nonsense on even longer, FYI.
*Images with nudity are allowed and welcomed and adored and uncensored. This includes preview images. If nudity bothers you, you have come to the wrong community. If nudity on your friends page bothers you, take the community off of your friends page and you will find that your problem has been solved.
