Her photographs and works often include sexuality and erotic imagery. Her method of painting involves many coatings of translucent enamel paint on metal to produce a luminous, almost hallucinatory finish. Her photographs are all taken in order to create a painting, yet sometimes she uses the photograph as is, without converting it. (from wikipedia)

i've looked. s/s is very straight, opposite f/w is much more sexy

yea, i think f/w is a lot more alluring and the water does give is a sexy feel while s/s is very explicit, a bit crass, but still interesting

Just so you know, the first set is actually a series of paintings she did based on photographs she took. I don't know if the second set is photographs, but I remember reading loads articles around the controversial use of digital projectors used by painters, and most of the paintings in the first set were mentioned.

oh hey you're completely right! i hadn't realised that earlier. i had read she does paintings, but it didn't really cross my mind to check haha. they look so much like real photographs, and i guess if they're based on photographs she did take then that makes sense. well i hope it isnt a problem that i posted them here if they aren't real photos =\

Wtf these are actually paintings? If so they're bloody brilliant. Love the glitter eye ones, not so keen on the bellybutton one.
If only some of the pictures were zoomed out more, some are a bit in-your-face.

Minter just gave a lecture at my college and she showed slides of her work. Her paintings are unbelievably photographic looking. I think her work is pornographically glamourous, but certainly not my taste. She showed some of her first photographs of her mother, which are amazing:



I couldn't find any other photos from that collection.

yea sure, i'll try to get it up tonight or tomorrow. my photobucket bandwidth is supposed to reset on the 4th but that's a while... foto_decadent is crazy in pumping out the bandwidth!
