These are AMAZING! Some of the ones set in the dark, with stark bright highlights and the skull, they look JUST like Caravaggio paintings! I'd love to learn the technique of making the film replicate the hazy lush of oil works... Just GORGEOUS.

I probably wouldn't have chosen this particular model for such an intentionally vintage photoshoot. She's beautiful, but not in a "classic" way, which is probably what these needed.

i really really adore these, but i will have to agree with you on the note that yes, these indeed would have been that much more believable if someone with the looks of that period had modeled.

I see your point, but that would make it... I don't know, like a pastiche, not so much fashion. I think using a contemporary model within the setting makes it slightly jarring and interesting.
