but its not. its far more 50s than 30s/40s, if you look at esp the hair,make up and skirts... besides,even though germany was undoubtedly in a terrible way politically,there was still very interesting fashion to come out of those decades. few people were a)aware or b)politically involved in hitlers regime full time,so life went on as it did in other countries and other decades. im tired of people practically banning WWII era in germany from any kind of discussion that is not an insanely politically correct, exclusively political debate. if heroin chic and american 50s fashion and photoshoots in third world countries are okay,why shouldn't WWII inspired fashion be as well? its edgy and controversial in the third reich context of course but thats what editorial fashion is about. i'm german myself, and maybe i am a bit hypersensitive concerning this topic, so i apologize for rudeness as thats not intended,im just frustrated with those kind of arguments.... im getting completely sidetracked. the shoot isnt even set in the WWII decade. i love the photography and styling,just wish some of the girls were the slightest bit more curvy. not making a general statement,just me thinking it would brink out some of the clothes in a more homogenic way.
