The pictures benefit her a lot - she looks beautiful - but in so many you can't see anything of the clothes... (I like clothes ;))

I like the hands and roses shots - quite symbolic of a 'paradise lost'.
But I don't really like the pictures of Gemma as she looks kinda...weird. The makeup is not nice.

i agree with you. the hands were the most affecting part of the shoot...if fashion photography can be said to contain any meaning below the surface, that is. i don't know...the use of gemma ward and the sadness they wanted to portray in these pictures...does anyone think of heath ledger here? the hands are just on the edge of separation.

Gemma is predictable. She kind of lessens the impact of the rest of the shoot for me.

Kind of bizarre, and really really disturbing, but eh. It's something different. Overall, I don't think they used Gemma very much or very well, but it's the roses that really deserve the showcase. Wow. Those are spectacular.

Anyone a fan of Massive Attack? The roses look a lot like what they did with the singles and album cover for 100th Window (get life-sized glass figurines of humans, shoot ball bearings at them and record them shattering frame-by-frame on camera).

Too bad Gemma isn't looking terribly good in this shoot. :(

The only thing good about this shoot was the scab...for some reason I LOVE that being in here. Otherwise Gemma looks like a down syndrome kid and is just getting old in general. We need new models.
