Irving Penn for Vogue 1940s-80s

It's amazing that irving is something like 90 years old and still occasionally does shoots for Vogue.

the wine bottle one is my absolute favorite! the composition and focus is amazing and it's beyond classy. Plus Jean Patchett was gorgeous

This is quite possibly the best set I've ever seen posted here, at least in my opinion. I adore every one of the photos. And although the last one doesn't seem to tie in very well, I appreciate the impressionistic feel it has to it.

The last one was an editorial for, I want to say Maybelline in the 80s but I can't remember. These photos are all from different Vogue issues, and I know the last one skipped about 3 decades, but it's so fabulous I just had to include it! :)
