This is a community about loss, and it was made for the grieving. This is an open community. We'll be here for you in your time of need, and you can post whatever you want, so long as it has something to do with your loss -- pictures of your loved one who has passed on, stories about them, musings on death and the afterlife, ect. There are rules, however:
+ You may only join if you have lost someone. That means a person or a pet (although person is obviously perferred). I don't want any posts about losing the rainforest or anything like that.
+ Have a long post? That's okay. We're here to listen. But please, if you're posting something long (or if you're posting any pictures) use a LJ cut. You can do that by typing in (lj-cut text="pictures") and just use "<" and ">" instead of parenthesis.
+ Absolutely NO namecalling, deragatory comments, etc. Everyone handles grief differently, and it's their right to do so. So if you think that Sally isn't crying hard enough, keep it to yourself. The same goes for critiquing the type of loss that a person has gone through -- I can understand that losing your mama is different than losing your kitty, but that doesn't mean that they don't have a right to grieve.
+ Please try to keep the language to a minimum :) Also, the better your spelling/grammar, the easier it is to understand your posts.
+ This community is for people of all religions, of all walks of life. Go ahead and post saying that you're sad that so and so is dead but at least they're in Heaven, but be considerate and sympathetic to the fact that that person may not believe in the same heaven as you do.
+ One more thing...death is not a four-letter-word in this community (or in real life). So go ahead and use it, but be respectful.
