| Holiday Shortbread |
[Sep. 29th, 2008|10:04 pm] |
Not that it's close to the holidays, but shortbread can be enjoyed anytime. ^^ This one's not overly sweet (actually, I think I'd prefer more sugar, though some would probably disagree!) and it's pretty simple--only four ingredients!
( Make sure your arms are well-rested before cutting in the butter... ) |

| Two-Minute Cookies |
[Sep. 9th, 2008|02:08 pm] |
Even looking at the title of this recipe, I was suprised by just how quick and easy they were. You don't even need to use the oven, and these cookies have neither flour nor eggs in them. Actually, I don't even know if I "cookie" describes them well. At any rate, they turned out good! They're rather rich and fudgy, so you might prefer to make them teaspoon- rather than tablespoon-sized.

| Honey Spice Krinkles (cookies) |
[Aug. 30th, 2008|12:36 pm] |
I found these cookies weren't sickly sweet and had a nice flavour. Though as usual, I think they could do with extra amounts of the spices. It's a really easy and fairly quick recipe!

| Chocolate Orange Cream Pie |
[Aug. 20th, 2008|03:47 pm] |
This pie was a bit sloppy, but I imagine it was because we didn't have a springform pan the right size, and so baked it in a regular cake pan, which presented some difficulty in getting the slices out. Nevertheless, it tasted delicious. :D
I think this would be great made into parfaits.
( Chocolate and orange, my favourite combination! ) |

| S'more Sandwich Cookies |
[Jun. 10th, 2008|02:32 pm] |
Fresh out the oven, these are so gooey and tasty. ♥
Without the marshmallows, these would still make excellent simple chocolate chip cookies.

| Cookie Jar Gingersnaps |
[May. 19th, 2008|03:07 pm] |
This is my second try at making gingersnaps, and I'm happy to say that this recipe turned out to be excellent. ^^ The cookies were indeed crispy on the outside but chewy on the inside, and I would definitely make them again, though perhaps with just a little more ginger.
( I'd be perfectly happy if this was the only gingersnap recipe I could get. ) |

| Simple Lime Mousse |
[May. 10th, 2008|02:21 pm] |
There's a very simple reason I chose to make this recipe: No folding involved! So there was little possibility that I would screw it up, as I've done in the past trying to fold for mousse. And really, what could be easier than throwing everything together and beating it for a couple minutes? :P Plus it tastes pretty good to boot. Since it's no-bake and doesn't use the stovetop either, this would be ideal for hot summer days.
I've found that the flavour of this mousse grows stronger if left in the fridge overnight.
( Easy-peasy-yummy~ )

| Scottish Shortbread |
[May. 9th, 2008|12:50 pm] |
Shortbread is actually not one of my favourite things, but this recipe was very easy and everyone else in my family enjoyed it. As always, I made mine way too big, though. ^^;

| Amish Sugar Cookies |
[Apr. 29th, 2008|08:25 pm] |
I decided to try something simple this time, and these cookies turned out not only very easy, but very tasty, too. They were pretty light and airy, and are best when fully cooked--but just barely, so that way, they really melt in your mouth.
( Though I'm not entirely sure what makes them 'Amish' cookies. ) |

| Orange Cookies |
[Apr. 11th, 2008|06:21 pm] |
Another successful cookie recipe! ^^ The first thing that came to mind when I tried one of these cookies was that they tasted a lot like little pound cakes, and they have a very similar texture as well. Despite all the sugar that goes into them, they're not overly sweet, either.

| Lime Cornmeal Muffins |
[Apr. 3rd, 2008|11:43 am] |
This is the first time I've ever had cornmeal muffins, and they were very tasty. The muffins themselves are rather savoury, but the glaze adds some nice sweetness.
( Look no further for the recipe~ ) |

| Crisp Graham Cookies |
[Feb. 16th, 2008|11:15 pm] |
The cookies turned out deeeliciouss! The M&Ms make them nice and colourful, too. I bet kids would love them. They're not very complicated, either. ^^

Happy New Year! ^_^
One of my favourite things ever is orange chocolate, so this cake was wonderful for that, and it turned out great!

| Lemon Dreams (cookies) |
[Dec. 25th, 2007|11:11 pm] |
These were a big hit with everyone. The cookies are like shortbread topped with yummy lemon curd, so I think I'm gonna have to make more of these sometime. ^_^

| Mocha Truffle Cookies |
[Dec. 10th, 2007|11:09 pm] |
These cookies turned out pretty good, though quite similar to the German Chocolate Cookies (despite the fact that this one is made from scratch and the other uses a cake mix ^^;; ), though the coffee flavour makes a nice little addition.

| Peanut Butter Fudge Bars |
[Nov. 1st, 2007|11:07 pm] |
Really, peanut butter and chocolate are one of the best things ever to be combined. This recipe is almost exactly the same as the Can't Leave Alone Bars, except with yellow cake mix instead of white and, of course, the addition of peanut butter. It's very easy and very tasty! ^_^

Yet another easy one with a cake mix. Beware the fact that they're bite-sized, since it's awful tempting to keep grabbing one every time you pass by. >D

| German Chocolate Cookies |

These cookies were simply delicious. And not only that, but super simple, since they use a cake mix as well!
