Well I have coveted a big mixer, the ones with the big bowl and the big whisk (you see them on all the cooking programs - Nigella uses them to make meringues etc) for ages. Today Rob picks me up even though, poor lamb, he has been signed off for a week because he has really bad RSI in his right arm (he has figured out how to drive one armed even though I offered to drive) and when we get home he produces this huge box from the boot of the car. So he says it's for me and I open it and it's a mixer.
He is such a sweetie, he said that because he's always getting things he decided to buy me something.
I am dying to try it out now. I want to make cakes and cup cakes and meringues and lots of lovely things.
My husband is so wonderful to me, he is such an amazing man and I love him to pieces. It was such a lovely surprise.
Now I have to go massage his back and arms to help with his RSI. |

For some reason most of my mood theme has done disappeared! I'm had the Domilie mood theme for like four and a half years and most of it just decides to disappear? GRRR!!! I have the theme saved somewhere, but I can't rememeber where. I would change it, but I'm so attached to it. Time to go searching... |

A couple friends are over right now and earlier we were talking about all the movies we've seen lately, which ones we liked and disliked. Thought I'd give a short review of all the movies I've see lately on DVD or in theater.
Recommended
Transformers - Has plot holes, but is a really good entertainment movie!
Gran Torino - Awesome!!! Talk about a movie that should win an Academy Award.
Inkheart - It could have been better, but I really liked it!
Friday the 13th - For a horror flick it wasn't actually scary, but I enjoyed it.
Not Recommended
Knowing - It sucked. It started out as if it'd be good, but then turned dumb.
12 Rounds - Aside from it being set in my home town and me enjoying pointing out landmarks, it wasn't worth watching.

I climbed to the loft of the shed my husband is building. You can see so much from up there! Too bad he's putting the roof on today. Phew. Thought I'd capture this moment in history when there was no roof on the shed :P
