footie_100, the Football Drabble Challenge. Every week, we invite you to compete for your team by writing 100 word fictions in response to our prompt. Compete for My Team?
Why yes! In an idea basically stolen from the absolutely brilliant
hp100 community, every drabble you write for our challenge gives points to your favorite team and at the end of the week, they could be crowned "Champions of the Interweb". Every drabble is worth one point and they add up all week. Any team may be supported from Valencia to ManUtd, Palermo to River Plate.

2. You should include the Title of the drabble and your Team of Choice in the subject of your submission.
3. ** This rule was changed, as of the 3rd week prompt. Please take note! ** You may submit any number of drabbles during the week. However, you may only submit up to 10 drabbles for each Team of Choice. Though we encourage you to write 1000s of drabbles ( =D ), you will only be allowed to submit 10 drabbles to Milan, 10 drabbles to Real Madrid, 10 drabbles to Cruz Azul, etc, etc.
4. Drabbles MUST respond to the one word prompt given, in whatever way you choose, or they will not be posted.
5. Posts to the community are moderated to keep out fiction that does not fit the 100 word definition of a drabble and to check for formatting. Communities of a football related nature may advertise ONCE to the community.
6. Keep it friendly everyone. No red cards here, please.
7. Prompts are posted Monday morning, so get your submissions in by this week's deadline to make sure your team gets their points.
8. **This rule came into play as of the 3rd week prompt. Please take note!** Each drabble must stand alone completely. If a drabble depends on a second or third drabble to be a complete story, it will not be posted.
9. The deadline for each week is determined by the mod who has issued the challenge, due to issues with time zones and whatnot. Read the prompt announcement carefully to make sure that your drabbles count.
