Welcome to footballfans! A community geared towards fans of all things football, where you can enjoy serious game talk, or just kick back and have fun with other fans of the greatest sport known to man. The origins for this community come from martykins, who brought up the idea of a unified football community in the style of world_cup_2006.

We obviously want this community to last, therefore, to avoid trouble, and to keep everyone merry like Merry Brandybuck from 'The Lord of the Rings', members are expected to read and follow the set rules.

i. Anything can be discussed (except fanfiction), as long as it's football related.
ii. Respect all teams and players that are currently in discussion between members, including your fellow community members.
iii. All members are entitled to their own opinions, but try to keep the insults to a minimum. We do not want anything similar to: "YOU MOTHERFUCKING CUNT, YOU DID NOT DESERVE TO WIN YOU FUCKING TWAAAAT I HOPE YOUR COUNTRY GETS BOMBED BY BIN LADEN!!1". Do that and fear the wrath of the yellow/red card.
iv. Everyone is free to post their own bits of news, theories, pictures and graphics. All contents should be properly inserted behind a lj-cut if too long, with a brief explanation regarding the contents in the lj-cut.

v. Before posting news and/or pictures, please take the time to check if it has been posted in previous entries. Too many repetitive posts will be deleted.
vi. Please type your entries in English, with decent spelling and grammar. We are open to members of every nationality, therefore we must keep our English clean and tidy, to avoid any misunderstandings. iF u tYp3 Lyk DiS, this isn't the place for you.

yellow & red cards._________________

Maintainers actually use this system, regarding community members. Hopefully we won't get our cards out that often.

yellow cards = warnings / red cards = bannings

If a member receives two yellow cards, he or she will be banned permanently from this community.

Members are required to use tags to archive each and all entries made. Tags make it easier to browse through the community if you’re looking for specifics. Judging by the post’s nature, tags should be used as such: “team: *insert team name*”, “league: *insert league name here*”, “player: *name that they are known for*, “pictures”, “graphics”, etc.

More than one tag may be used for the same post.

If you find this a little too confusing, you can either use the already existing ones as guidelines, or you can leave it blank. In the latter situation, a maintainer will go ahead and add the appropriate tags.
