AboutThis is a fan journal dedicated to From Eroica With Love, a series of graphic novels depicting the adventures of an international art thief, Dorian, and the very unwilling object of his affections, Klaus.
Yes, it's gay. It is, in fact, high camp. Really funny high camp. Set during the Cold War and boasting the fashion sense of that era, Eroica is a hilarious espionage spoof based in the seventies.
The creator of this story is Yasuko Aoike, a veteran manga artist based in Japan. From Eroica With Love is one of the longest-running gay comics in existence, having lasted for more than thirty years. It began in 1976, but it continues gathering new fans to this day. The series has been licensed by CMX Publishing, but the official English translations are considerably behind the progress of the actual manga. In Japan, Eroica is currently more than 30 volumes long, but CMX has only released 10 volumes so far.
I'll be posting discussions of the series here, as well as fan fiction, recommendations and general squeeage.
