I was talking with Jill--who's username escapes me at the moment--about the different quotations Elizabeth Gaskell uses at the beginning of each chapter of North and South. Full version inserts of those who are widely known (ie Tennyson, Elliott...) were easy to find but the "Anon"'s proved to be more difficult to locate. And, of course, the last excerpt in the book just has to be anonymous!
Luckily, I stumbled upon the rest of the final quote most recently. So here's the remainder for Jill and anyone else who is interested or hasn't read the other verses as of yet.
( For joy or grief, for hope or fear, )
