Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Marshmallow Cake Cones
My take on one of my favorite childhood treats:

Sinful candy worthy of Hansel and Gretel's sweet teeth!

[I posted the recipe and visual step-by-step guide here.]

Have you ever had chocolate dipped strawberry mallow cones as a child?

Someone to make this for me next time because it's so time-consuming. Haha.

I used Callebaut milk chocolate, bought from Whole Foods.

Never had those. They sound like they're made of awesome!

A couple of times my mom cooked cake mix batter in empty cones to make cupcake-cones. They don't have much of a dome on top to look like ice cream, but you could add a scoop if you wanted. But it was fun just to frost and decorate them. :)

You said it --- they're all kinds of awesome.

My boyfriend's sis-in-law also made those for her kids, but with brownies in ice cream cones. I was surprised to actually see the recipe on the actual ice cream cone box before I threw it out!

I've never heard of them, they look interesting :) One piece of advice from what I read at your blog, if you overbeat the mixture and/or let it cool for a while (maybe 10 minutes) before trying to pipe them they will retain a shape a lot better. This does make them a lot stiffer to work with, though. You can mess around with the cooling times until you find a stage where they'll keep the shape you want while still being able to pipe them out of a pastry bag or something similar.
