When I posted the pictures of the Valentine's Day prix fixe dinner we had at our restaurant, lots of folks wanted the recipe for the cream of asparagus soup.
Well, who am I to refuse?
Here it is--the recipe for that beautiful, pale jade-colored soup which just might be the nectar of the gods.
I think everyone should make it when asparagus is in season where you live!

i finally got a working recipie for pizza dough but i think i made this one a tad thick. previously my problem had been with rollability -- this one rolled out nice. it's got mushrooms, green peppers and leaks.
i photographed this one with a small umbrella and an off camera flash.

Essentially, the recipe is this one from "How To Cook Everything" (For those of you who have the hard-copy of the cookbook, the recipe I actually used was the next recipe, as there's only so many recipes from the book listed online. The only difference between the two recipes was that the chicken was roasting atop sliced/wedged red potatoes, which had some extra olive oil/herb mix drizzled over it.).
