Made these yesterday evening after the idea struck me at work. I used ground turkey, but I suppose you could use ground beef, too.
What you'll need:
For Burgers
1 lb. lean ground turkey
1 large shallot, diced
1/2 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
1 cup plain bread crumbs
1 tablespoon coarsely ground black pepper
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 cup House of Tsang Peanut Sauce
Also
Cooking spray
1 pack whole wheat hamburger rolls, toasted
Red onion, sliced
Lettuce (I suggest red leaf or romaine)
Tomato, sliced
More House of Tsang Peanut Sauce
In a large mixing bowl combine ground turkey, shallot, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and peanut sauce. Add breadcrumbs and mix thoroughly.
Coat medium skillet, heat on stove over medium. Grill burgers two at a time until done.
Place on hamburger rolls, add condiments, and coating bottom of tops with peanut sauce. Serve with kettle-fried chips or cuccumber salad.

My sister's birthday is coming up, so I bought her some delicious pre-porn goodies. I was thinking about getting her some porcini powder too (or any suggestions for a delicious in vogue spice would be nice).
Black truffle oil, aged balsamic, pink sea salt, and dried tart cherries

Since moving to Michigan, I've become enamored with these tart cherries. I have an American Spoon tart cherry "spoonfruit" that makes a delicious crepe filling.
Also, ever have a serious let down? Where something looks so utterly delicious and you know that the place uses quality ingredients... but looks can be deceiving? I bought a cannoli from Zingerman's in Ann Arbor, MI today to become totally utterly disappointed. They were filled on the spot! HOW COULD THEY GO WRONG?!

Seriously. Look at that thing. It looks delicious. It tasted like mushy watery cheese with over powering vanilla... and no sugar. NO SWEETNESS! The shell was more of the same. What the hell was this thing? A savory cannoli? I have never had such a huge pastry let down!

You'd think that after the Xmas excesses, I'd be tired of chocolate. Nuh uh. I wanted brownies, so I made brownies:-)

I'm still having fun playing around with raw food, but it's less enticing to the boyfriend. So...let's have fun with vegan! I just picked up the Veganomicon for myself for Christmas (with a 40% off coupon to Borders, whoo!) and have been eager to try things out. This first recipe went REALLY well so I thought I ought share. (and if the second, which so happens to be in the oven right now, turns out equally as well I will post it, too!)
