The teachers at school are having some sort of inservice today, which means I get to sleep in and bum around all day! Which is good, because honestly we got slammed from beginning to end in the department yesterday, which thank you god above for giving us one of the nice radiologists yesterday.

I've decided that until I finish up my next5_loves, I'm not allowed to work on or revise Halloween fic, which seems cruel because after the fireandice2008 announcement, I'm actually motivated to work on and revise it - of course, it's also less cruel when you consider that I'm only like, within 100-150 words of finally finishing this next little installment. I could have it done now. I could have it POSTED tonight. I'm just lazy.

I've talked it over with Josie, and I think, since November is NaNoWriMo, that I'm going to go full force on Evil Aang AU Fic of Doom for that month and see what I can get out of it. I can't officially sign up for the contest because I already have about 5,000 words of it done, but it took me three months to write 50,000 words of Swamp Fic way back in '06, and so while I doubt I'll meet the requirement for NaNoWriMo, at least I'll get a good hunk of the fic done and can work out some issues that I've been letting slide because I'm not there yet in the plot. Plus I can use one of those neat wordcounters! And, at the very least, then it won't remain one of those fics that "I SWEAR I'm gonna do one day!"

Besides, the sooner I get this done, the sooner I can get to plotting out this Rush Valley fic, which I'm suddenly very excited for. OR, you know, CRACK.

Staying awake until 4 in the morning and sleeping in until 3pm, screw that for a joke. Playing games usually helps with this kind of thing but my parents have my TV.

Dearest parents, please give me my TV back. I said you could use it for a day, indefinitely until yours gets fixed. Just because your enormous widescreen TV broke down (again!) and you won't ask either of my younger brothers for their TVs because "they will whine" doesn't mean you get to take advantage of my passivity..

(And of course I'm writing this here instead of telling my parents this because I'm chicken shit and I don't want to go through a hour long lecture on how ungrateful I am and how they never had TVs at their age blah blah blah)

As you may have noticed, linkspam is working again. This isn't because Delicious.com actually fixed anything. This is because somebody fixed Postalicious (which automatically posts links to wordpress) so I set up a wordpress blog on my domain, installed Postalicious, then installed a plugin that automatically posts wordpress entries to livejournal.

There's still a few bugs, but hopefully it will be somewhat reliable. If it breaks anyone's layout please let me know.

I'm thinking of advertising for help at the fullmetal-alchemist.com forums, that is, if sensenic is still in the fandom. I'm still a bit concerned about advertising for help on hagaren_manga, since I'm worried I'll get an inrush of people having edit wars over who Roy Mustang is sleeping with (canonical answer? NO ONE).

Wiki formatting can be surprisingly difficult to understand (all I wanted was a little blue navbox but this page of the manual was truly not helpful), and I'd probably have to write some help tutorials, and I'm not looking forward to that.

Feh. I feel irrationally tired at the moment but since I'll probably be up until the wee hours I might as well get back to it.

Didn't post last week because all I had to say was that DUB!GENOME IS EPIC and I miss dub!Kamina. :( This week we're finally into TIMESKIP and it feels like I've come full-circle considering I first started watching Gurren Lagann when episode 17 aired on TV in Japan. Anyway, this time I managed to write my reactions on paper while watching.

Conclusion: Rossiu sounds like Lelouch. I'm not too impressed with Simon & Nia at the moment but they should get better as they go along. Everyone else is either meh or excellent.

• yearbook class was alright but this one guy, Geoff, is a bit overbearing and doesn't know when to step down and stop becoming the leader
• parents had their first bible study at our house...total success!
• my room's roof is leaking....*sigh* Everytime someone flushes the toilet above my room a few tiles start to drip. My mom called the landlady last week about it and still nothing has been done about it. My mom's pissed now because there's mold on my roof because of the water build up.
• I'm stuck sleeping upstairs now
• Going to the police station tomorrow! Let you know how that all went down
• work again tomorrow too; most likely be giving my notice...wish me luck!

Organizing my f-list, removing friends and stuff.

Reasons for removal:
1. You haven't posted in your journal for ages
2. You dropped me from your f-list (or just never added me back)
3. You changed your name and I've just not noticed for the past couple of months
4. I recently added you and haven't gotten used to seeing/recognizing your name on my list
5. I just can't for the life of me remember who they are. Kinda like how I couldn't remember who the heck Sharpwind was after spending Yaoicon with her XD My brain just sucks like that.

So if anyone who got cut thinks they're in one of the last three categories, just let me know and I'll put you back on with new knowledge of your identity XD

The thing about having neighbors who smoke is that you have to be on constant watch. If you don't notice that they've gone out to smoke, and your window is open, your room will fill up with the smell. It'll go away eventually, but it might take an hour. Blah.

In other news: My fanfic writers haven't updated their stories yet. It makes me sad. I'm going to finish my reading for HIS 7A instead. I mean, I was going to do it anyway, but a break couldn't have hurt.

Now all y'all know what to get me for Xmas. Seriously though, maybe now I'll be able to get a TV with a remote controller! And stereo sound! And and and, those little white/yellow/red video hookup thingies in the back so I don't have to hook everything up through the broken VCR! What a glorious day it will be.

In other news, I hate these stupid people I'm still trying to make an appointment with. I hope they get attacked by bearsharks.

I've never really used RSS before, but since I started using mail programs instead of directly checking online mail, I've slowly started accumulating feeds. Now I'm thinking... maybe I can just read my LJ through feeds instead. That certainly would make it less likely for me to forget to check my f-list XD

Anyone got opinions about this RSS business?

Back to Washington tomorrow, I...am pretty certain.

I can't take this show seriously anymore. It is pure comedy to me now.

Today, on the bus I took to go to Tere's niece's house, there was this woman who looked really, really, really similar to my mom. It was scary, and if she'd just been a little taller I think I would've died when I first saw her.

But instead I just stared at her the whole time she was on the bus. And felt miserable the rest of the trip. Yay.


In other less depressing news, the tutoring's going great and we've already made some progress and all /o/

Yesterday I did one of those fundraiser walks, for Lupus, with Anita in the San Diego area. (Her husband’s sister has the Lupus.) We got in about three miles whilst talking and looking at the bay area we were right next to. Afterward we went to visit another one of my cousins, and did some sight seeing. I took some neat pictures? They’ll probably end up in flickr soon.

So, musachan mentioned some of her thoughts on the new Nightmare Revisited cd, and I’m like “oh yeah, it’s OCTOBER”. Which means listening to nothing but NBC music for a month, lul. I really liked Amy Lee’s version of Sally’s Song, I must admit. Call it emo/goth wank, I don’t care. Her voice is pretty and I love this song. Fiona Apple's version of this song was nice too.
