I stumbled onto this community a couple of weeks ago - I'm a relative newbie to FMA, although I've read all published chapters thus far twice and I absolutely loved the discussions and analysis happening here. The sad thing is, this is really the only space fma manga fans have on lj - everywhere else you have to weed through tons of anime-related fan-stuff (and wangst about the new anime - WHICH WILL BE AWESOME!) and even if you find manga-related stuff it's either EdxRoy fanfic (...even disregarding the fact that they both like someone else...the AGE difference, guys!!! Not cool!) or icons (..which are cool) so I was wondering if anyone was interested in picking up with this community again? Erm...and I know this is a re-read community, but would anyone be interested in having a discussion/predictions post for every new chapter as it's published? I know it sort of happens in the re-read posts (which are EPIC) but I'd like to be able to talk to people about FMA dammit!

Who's pumped for the new anime!!!! (I've only seen a handful of episodes from the original + the movie (adult!Ed FTW) - just enough for me to LOVE the voice acting and realize how much awesomer everybody is in the manga, lol)

I want to remind folks yet again that chapter signups are still open, for chapters 68 and 69 (in which we get cute Elric flashback, Olivier continuing to win at everything ever, and Roy flirting with the flower lady) and for chapters 72-80 (in which everyone teams up against Kimbley, we get Xerxes flashbacks, and Al becomes a bit... detached). I'd really appreciate if people would sign up; this semester is rather stressful for me, and the next one probably won't be much better.

Chapter signups are open for January and February, which comprise chapters 72-80. (Yes, this works, but just barely; as of March, we will have run out of manga! ^_^)

Also, I'm going to to be pretty much offline for about a month, from mid-December through mid-January, so I'll need somebody to take over mod duties for that time. It's nothing too difficult; mostly tagging and linking to entries and sending an email once a week, but if nobody signs up then you'll have to do posts.
