I knew this would happen but im still amazed. We were out of gas everywhere here since the hurricane in TX. We would get a truck in and everyone would go nuts trying to gas up. Well this weekend was Nascar at the Talladega track 20 mins from my house. Saturday everyone had gas. All the stations were full. So they could gouge the heck out of all the race fans, like 100000 of them. Oil barrel prices are down but no not in Anniston podunk Alabama! Still 3.99 everywhere! Today im driving to work and what do I see but 0.00 on the gas signs and plastic bags over the pumps. Out again! WTF is going on? It makes no freaking sense to me. |

As most of you know my best friend of 27 years is battling cancer for the third time. She is losing hair pretty quickly. Last week I got her into a program that got her not one but two new wigs. She was skeptical but I think she likes them. She is a little self conscious but im working on her. :) I like the straight one. She likes the curly one. Here she is in both.
She is clowning in both pics but thats Gay for ya!

Ive had a busy weekend. Saturday was the yard sale and I was exhausted. I didnt even eat supper. I had some oatmeal and crashed. I did get to see my football team win against KY. Bryans team lost. He woke me up to see SNL. :)
This morning was church then I helped Gay. Her sister was broken into again and shes scared so Gay is moving her in. We cleaned out the spare room and Gay got rid of some of her things. It was kind of sad to go thru them. She had a pillow I had cross-stitched for her many years ago. With tears in her eyes she said I cant get rid of it. I said Gay its okay. Its old and ratty. Let it go. We scrubbed down the floors, closet and walls. The room had been shut up for years. Afterwards I came home, did some laundry, went back out to the grocery store then home again. Jonathan went to youth group at church and Bryan and I went to eat Mexican. Then we strolled around inside Target. We looked at the seasonal stuff and checked out clearance. They had twin sheet sets for 3.48 a set. Wow! My niece works there and used her discount. So nice of her. :)
Home now just hanging out till my shows come on. Hope everyone else gets some rest. |

Next time I mention even casually that im having a yard sale for God's sake punch me! Yell at me! Send me pencils to poke my eyeballs out! Never again!
We cleared everything out. I worked last night til I was exhausted. Up this morning at 6am. Sold less than 100 bucks. This guy came along and offered a price for everything left and I took him up on it. Hell I was ready to give him the stuff. He has 2 truck loads done and 1 more to go. I took 2 loads to Goodwill. Geez it was brutal. What kills me though is the lady who asked me if I could get the lightbulb out of a Christmas house I had. I told her it was in tightly but it did work and had the figures to stand around it and I wanted 50 cents for it. I even plugged it in. She said no. WTF? Another lady asked me about a cordless phone I had with answering machine built in. I told her yes it works and I could show her and it was 5.00. She said no. So no more fun and games for me. Goodwill is my friend. |

It sneaks up behind you and smacks you in the head....
Ed has prostate cancer. Just over a year from being diagnosed with esophageal cancer. According to Dr. S, this should be a piece of cake in relationship to what Ed went through during the esophageal cancer. I sure hope so cuz right now, we're just numb...and he's PI$$ed off. |
