| About: | READ THIS BEFORE YOU JOIN!!! ♥ Here's a list of some of the Mail Art projects that can be done. Artist Trading Card (ATC): A 2.5 x 3.5 inch card featuring your art. On the back of the card should be the title, your name, date, & any other information. It can also be part of a series of ATC's. It can be themed or not. Deco: A deco is a handmade booklet, usually with a theme. The person who makes the deco will decorate the cover & one blank page inside, including their name & address. Then they will send it to someone else to decorate one blank page, including their name & address, & then they will pass it on to the next participant. When the last page is decorated, it is sent back to the person who made the deco. Handmade Envelopes (HE): An envelope made from printed/magazine/wrapping/any kind of unique paper. Friendship Book (FB): A booklet sent to random people, everyone will put their name/address/email/likes. This is a cool way to make friends & penpals. Handmade Journals (HJ): A store bought notebook decorated by you, or a book you made from scratch. They can be any size and shape. Altered Book (AB): A book that is decorated (the covers as well as each inside page). It can have a theme, or go along with the story of the book itself, or it can be completely unrelated to the book itself. These can be made by one or many artists. Mixtape Suprise (MS): Like a deco, only a mixtape! The person who starts it will record one song, along with a paper for the track list & name/address. Then they will send it to someone else, who will add one song & so on. The person to record the last song on the tape will return it to the person who started it. Handmade Sticker Book (HSB): Like a deco, only with stickers. Each person will add one sticker with their name/address next to the sticker & pass it on. When finished, it is sent to the person who started it. Other: Trading, selling, postcards, birthday cards, birthday presents, random acts of kindess through mail, etc etc etc ETC!!! There's no end to the mail art fun you can have!!! Making up your own forms of Mail Art is strongly encouraged!!! It is VERY important to keep communication open between participants. ~ Once you start a project, finish it!!!! ~ Don't keep something you are supposed to pass on for too long. Whats too long? I'd say about 3 or 4 months is too long. ~ If you know you will be late with some mail, update the other participants so they know. ~ If you don't receive something you're expecting, contact the person who was supposed to send it to you. ~ Promote this community everywhere!!!!!!!!! ~ HAVE FUN!
