You have found F L A V U H! This is a graphic community with many talents! Please read all of the rules (BEFORE JOINING), so that you will get accepted & not banned. I will not go into detail of what I look for, when I determine if you're accepted or not. This would of course, give you the upper hand to getting in easier. If you are accepted and violate the rules, you will be warned once unless it is clear to me you are a stealer. Then you will be banned forever. The rules have been re-written to ensure that people will get the idea. If you have comments or suggestions on an area I have/haven't covered please leave a message on this live journal post. 001 YOU MUST ALWAYS comment when taking ANYTHING!
002 YOU MUST ALWAYS credit anything that you take from flavuh , unless otherwise stated in the post. Unless you are taking graphics that are for your personal computer, or cannot be credited (desktops, wallpapers, desktop icons, aim icons). Credit can be a link in your user info if using any graphics besides icons. Icon credit MUST always be in the picture info. When you upload an icon, it will say KEYWORDS & COMMENTS. You can type "flavuh" or you may link it with the lj community code (read this faq @ the bottom of the page ). Anyone not crediting me/other communities, will be removed & banned! NEW ADDITION TO THE RULES : YOU MAY USE THE AVATARS, HEADERS, ETC WITHOUT CREDIT UNLESS YOU HAVE A LIVEJOURNAL, THEN I EXPECT YOU TO GIVE A QUICK LINK IN YOUR USER PICS, INFO, ETC!
003 YOU MUST NEVER re-distribute anything that you take from flavuh! NEVER NEVER. Re-distributing example : You take 5 of my icons, and post them on your xanga, journal post, or website, saying that you made them/like them/etc. If you want to promote my community all you have to do is upload my button & link me!
004 YOU MUST NEVER hotlink anything you see at flavuh! Some people pay for their host, like me, and when you directly link (hotlink) an image from my server, it will eat at my bandwidth! This is called bandwidth theft! This is when you either right click the image, copy the link which it is uploaded on, and paste it on a site somewhere! Or when you view the source of the page, copy the link which it is uploaded on, and paste it on a site somewhere! There are plenty of free servers for you to upload images to (as long as you're not re-distributing anything). Say you like a header I make, but don't have a server? Sign up at PhotoBucket.com for an account, upload it, and link it with the correct code under the image. That simple! If I find you hotlinking I will upload a nasty image in place that I promise, will make you and everyone else want to barf. You will eventually take it down :D. Also if you think you won't be found out, think again. In my cpanel, I can see the source that is hotlinking me.
005 ANY GRAPHICS MADE here are NEVER to be customized, edited, cropped, etc. Keep them as THEY ARE. Unless it is a BASE, and that is ONLY if I said "these are customizable bases".
006 TEXTLESS ICONS ARE not bases. Unless otherwise stated. I have said in the past it is ok to not credit, but sometimes it takes me a while to find the images, add effects, etc. You must credit for any icons you take, period!
007 BASES CAN BE for customization, as long as it says in the post "these are customizable bases". You must credit my journal for the bases on your website, journal, etc. If you customize the base for your personal icon, etc, you do not have to credit me for the base. You must credit me for the base if you do not customize it!
008 NEVER HAVE AN attitude in my community. If you're having a bad day take it elsewhere! Misery loves company, but flavuh doesn't need it! Please be polite and curteous to the other flavuh members! Hell, even make friends here!
009 NEVER TOUCH PERSONAL graphics. Personal graphics being my journal header, my icons, etc. Anything that is not in a post here at flavuh, is hands off to you! Please do not COPY any of my graphics. Inspiration is one thing, but full out copying EVERYTHING in my graphics is stealing too! And you will gain a place on my shame wall!
010 THIS IS NOT a request community! Do not ask me for "more Paris Hilton", or "make me this", etc. If I ever do ANY requests I will post and say that I am open for requests.
