I've been meaning to get around and make a post for this. I've only done it here at Court-Records.net.
We've decided to hold off on the Phoenix Wright dating sim, as it'll take longer to develop and we might not have much to show for it by the time it's done since no one would be really following it by then. Maybe. You know what I mean. The problem is a lot of webs to weave because we have SO MANY outcomes you can come to. And I still want the game to be long and replayable. So on, so on.
OKAY. THE POINT BEGINS HERE.
Hotel Dusk: Room 215 is a linear storyline, but a damned good one. You follow NYPD Detective Kyle Hyde three years after an incident with his partner, Brian Bradley, where he shot him and Brian felt into the Hudson river, only to go missing. Bradley had backstabbed everyone, criminal and police alike, while working an undercover case. Not understanding why, Kyle goes on a search to find his partner, having turned over his badge just to do so.
He ends up working for Ed Vincent, and old friend of his long-deceased father as a salesmen, but also works in the side business of finding what no one wants found. He's brought to Hotel Dusk for that very reason, and he gets the sensation that Bradley is connected to this. So on he goes.
This visual novel takes place one year after the events of Hotel Dusk. If you haven't played the game, it's a good time to pick it up (if you can FIND IT). Kyle is left outside of another hotel in the rain, and a certain someone is there to greet him.
Playing the visual novel will result in game spoilers, but most of it is backstory on Kyle and Bradley's history as officers, all leading to the events three years prior to Hotel Dusk, and including the events one year after.
( Sample works for the game. All prelim sketches. )
