You are viewing the most recent 20 entries June 30th, 2009I should have posted this yesterday but Ian spent all day having a meltdown due to teething and I never got around to it. So tonight I will be posting the new shift schedule. If you have any changes, please let me know. It should be going up around 9pm pacific time, once my son is in bed. Yours in the Lady, Joan June 6th, 2009First, the news: Two weeks ago I became an American statistic and got laid off. I am actively searching for a new job (we need the money too much) but in the interim, I have become a stay-at-home mom. Its taken me a while to adjust to bumps and hiccups of dealing with an extremely active and curious toddler but I think I've finally got things under my belt. Among other things, this means I can spend more time working on spiritual projects that got dropped by the wayside, like the book I was working on or more structured Flame Keeping. I intend to spend some time posting here and on my spiritual journal and to do some serious Work on my job search. The Lady helped me find my last job, which I enjoyed very much, and I'm hoping she will give me a hand finding my next one as well. I know that everyone is under the same pressures, but if you've got any career energy to spare, please send it my way. I intend to spend my next shift focused on the job search. Speaking of shifts, I am planning to post the next schedule on Tuesday, June 9th in the evening, after my son goes to bed. Please have any changes to me by that point. I'll try to get the schedule up by midnight but a lot of it depends on when I can get the Wee Boy in bed. I know there is a prayer listed in the user info, but I'd love more details on what rituals and rites we all use to commemorate our shift days. What do you do? Inquiring minds want to know! May 18th, 2009I'll be posting it on Wednesday, May 20th (my son's first birthday), so please have any changes to me by the morning of the 20th. Yours, in the Lady, Joan February 26th, 2009Greetings one and all- I'm a little more coherent this cycle and am actually getting this reminder out in a timely fashion. The "Cold That Never Ends" turned out to be RSV for all 3 of us and a double ear infection for my poor wee boy. My husband is bouncing back well and should be out of the grasp of this horror soon. My son just straved off bronchitis (with the help of a nebulizer) and is antibiotics for the ear infections. He's also feeling much better. I got re-infected last weekend and have spent the last 5 days in sinus hell. Our next cycle begins Thursday, March 4th at sunset. I'll be posting the new shift cycle tomorrow night, so please have changes to me by 5pm tomorrow. I've spent the last 2 weeks surrounded by yarn (for knitting), paper (for wrapping), plane schedules (waiting for my mother and sister to arrive), and my computer (busily typing up the Yule rituals for my book). Now that I have come out the other end of the above disaster area, I'm reminding you that our next cycle starts on Friday, January 2nd at sunset. If you need to make any changes in the schedule please let me know by tomorrow (December 30th) at 5pm. I plan to post the new schedule tomorrow evening. Also, anyone who received my rituals and hasn't communicated with me already, please confirm that the rituals arrived safely in your inbox. If you intend to comment on them, please have comments to me by January 15th. I would like to incorporate everyone's commentary into my Imbolc rituals, which I intend to send out on January 25th. I have also sent out invites to everyone who responded to my previous rituals post to the new community that I started, specifically for commenting on my rituals. If you haven't joined it please do (either by applying for membership or excepting the invite). Anyone who wants to get in to the Imbolc ritual reveiw, please comment below, with your email address (comments will be screened). Our new cycle starts on Sunday, December 14th at sunset and I will be posting the new schedule tomorrow night. So if anyone has any changes, please get them to me by 5pm pst tomorrow. Also, I will be sending out the Yule rituals for my book on the 14th as well, so if you are interested in reading and/or testing them, please let me know by either replying here or emailing me in private. I will be posting the new schedule sometime on the evening of Tuesday August 13th, so if you wish to make changes in your shift or pick up a new shift, please let me know by 5pm that day, Yours, in the Lady, Joan Current Mood: tiredJuly 23rd, 2008A member of our inner circle in the DC area was in a bad pile-up, he was on a motorcycle. He was surprising everyone with his healing, and had managed to come off the respirator, and to spite a broken back was moving hands and feet. Unfortunately, he has developed pneumonia, and is exhausted from fighting to stay alive. At this point he is back on the respirator and is in a drug induced coma to allow him to rest. It is not looking good at all. His name is Doug. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers as we work through this cycle. He needs a miracle from The Lady.
