Y'all.

I had my first Zumba class last night. I burned over 700 calories in an hour, and I felt fantastic all day today. And the best part was it absolutely did not feel like exercise. It was just dancing; one woman even had a belly-dancing jingly thingees belt on, and the music was great. I am so sticking to this.

Unfortunately, it's only Monday and Wednesday, so I have to find something else the rest of the week. I have a salsa dancing DVD that doesn't even compare, and a Tai Chi one that I really enjoy but doesn't feel very vigorous. I need to move the treadmill back inside, but with the xmas tree and the big roll of carpet we don't have much space in the living room. I'll figure it out!

But seriously, the point of the post: ZUMBA FUN. GO NOW.

Breakfast: toast with peanut butter
Lunch: turkey & muenster sandwich
Dinner: kung pao and pot stickers

Exercise: 30 crunches

Friday

Breakfast: whole-grain cereal
Lunch: Veggie mini-pizza
Dinner: Baked fish, breaded tomatoes, and butter beans
Exercise: Jogged around the block


Saturday

Breakfast: whole-grain cereal
Lunch: Meatloaf at Cracker Barrel
Dinner: probably nothing. Lunch was late
Snack: Italian cream soda at bookstore

Exercise: Carrying Mom's purchases; probably 2 miles of walking

Thursday

Breakfast: whole grain cereal
Lunch: 3 steak tips, salad
Dinner: 3 leftover steak tips, salad, red beans & rice

Exercise: jogged around the block, 25 crunches


Now am trying to convince myself that I'd rather have a banana than chili-cheese nachos.

Wednesday

Breakfast: apple
Lunch: Hormel 90-second roast beef with carrots & potatoes (270 cal)
Dinner: leftover from last night + salad with a really wonderfully painful amount of garlic
Snack: strawberry fruit freeze

Exercise: 25 crunches, parking 8 blocks off campus and hauling ass across hell's half-acre


I took a LeanLookRx capsule, and now I want to eat absolutely everything except, apparently, anything we have in the house. Maybe its trick is that it makes cravings completely unsatisfiable?

Late breakfast/early lunch: bacon & eggs
Dinner: split eggplant parmigiana and this pasta with chicken, sausage, and mushrooms with mom. And tiramisu.

Exercise: 25 crunches

Lunch: Hormel 90-second swedish meatball thing (350 cal)
Dinner: Grilled chicken and lemongrass rice

Lunch/Dinner: red beans & rice, homemade quesadilla with pepper cheese, beef, and ancho chilis

Lunch: BLT and about 3 meatballs. food party at work
Dinner: cobb salad

Dinner: Pork fritter, baked potatoes in Italian dressing, salad
Snack: 1/2 cup ice cream

Exercise: Pulling up tile, framing a sidewalk, and all associated activities

Lunch: Chicken quesadilla
Snack: Chips & salsa, 2 oreos
Dinner: Chef salad
Exercise: Cleaning everything

Alright, I'll crack the metaphorical champagne glass here and get the ball rolling. Basically we're using this thing however we feel fit, really. Food diary, exercise diary, tips, venting, motivational porn. Whatever. Feel free to lock your posts or leave them open and, if you want to make things really easy and handy, feel free to tag your post however you choose. Either as 'your name' and 'food' and 'exercise' and 'progress' or whatever, man. So easy.

If I feel especially motivated tonight, I may fiddle around with the layout and see if I can do a header or whatnot. I've never done so with a free community before and considering I'm not sure how often I'll actually LOOK at the community, I may not. But Frog tempted me with the idea of Kate Winslet so... I may succumb.
