Well I'm a WINNER!

I made my goal of fitting into a size 12 jeans by my trip to Kansas City... I still have a week to go, but a 12 fit in the midst of my water retained period. At the begginning of fall there was no way a 12 was buttoning... :)

On another note, Thursday I could not get a 14 or 16 size dress to zip, so I was totally discouraged and decided I wasn't going to he Christmas party. I thought this was weird so I pulled out my dress from last year, which is a 12 and it fits perfectly. Then I went shopping again Saturday and magically was able to fit into and zip a 14 again... Can we say water weight?? I lost 6 lbs in 2 days...

And on a completely different note, my doctor must think I am fat because he prescribed my diet pills. He doesn't call them diet pills because they do nothing to your brain to make it think its not hungry, it just doesn't let the fat stay in your body... you pass it out when you go to the bathroom, and I don't have to take them every day if I don't want to. He says if I know I am going to cheat, to take one with the cheat meal to save some calories.

But all in all, I got into the size I wanted to get into... only 4 more sizes to drop now. :) The small succsess all add up. :)

OK, first off I think you're awesome and I'm so proud of you for your accomplishments,

But mostly, AUGHH!!! Who is your doctor? Who prescribes diet pills for a size-12 young woman who exercises regularly? I especially want to slap him for him saying that "he knows you're going to cheat". BOO to him.

I remember that at least one other time you dropped soemthing like 6 pounds in two days, also water weight. So this might be just a thing with your body, but have you checked your salt intake? Too much salt can make you retain water. Just something to take a look at - it could just be the way you're made, too.

But back to the main thing, YAY for you!

Actually when he mentioned that it wasn't nessecary to take them the 3 times a day like you are really supposed to, and that he prescribed them for his son and his son took one a day, I mentioned that I eat fairly healthy, and I asked him if I could just take it when I know I am going to cheat... That wasn't entirly him...

He gave them to me because he mentioned that my bmi puts me a a moderate health risk and I explained to him that I'm really not eating a lot or anything to terribly bad for me and that I am exercising very regularly even if it is just making myself get up and take an hour walk around the mall so that I am not wasting an hour sitting on my butt, and I'm just not loosing any weight or inches, which I know must be unture because I got into a size 12 that wouldn't button 2 months ago... and he reccomended those.

I know its water weight it always happens around my period... Its like yay on top of death cramps, backaches and head aches, I'm totally emotional and then my body feels the need to trap 6 extra pounds?? That is way not the time to throw that on my lap. I think around the time of the month I might start being extra csreful with my salt intake...

Ah, your period. I thought it was just happening for no reason. Well, there might not be anything you can do. Just drink a lot of water and eat a normal amount of salt.

Hmmm... well, so I overreacted. I'm still skeptical that you need diet pills, especially since you're still losing weight.

I'm kinda miffed about it too. I was just informed by a chem attorney in my firm that one of the prescription diet pills has a side effect of death and he looked it up to have me look into making sure I wasn't prescribd that one...

!! It's definitely worth looking up the side effects of the drug on the internet. Since you say that it keeps you from digesting part of your meal, I think the main ones would be at least, um, gastro-intestinal distress.

I think Oz=Australia. I don't know about Australian sizes, but here's a size chart for American/Euro/etc sizes.
