This community is intended for sharing music without all the mainstream bullcrap clogging up your friends lists. Livejournal has a number of good sharing communities, but they're all limited to certain genres. This community has no such limits. The only genre we're interested in is "good".
It dosen't matter how common or rare anything you choose to upload is because there's always gonna be people who haven't heard Alice in Chains or Nick Drake.
Things to consider!
♪ Things we don't like: top 40, mainstream 'alternative', nashville country, emo junk and bad music in general. Since everyone has different taste, you won't get banned for posting questionable music once or twice. Fall Out Boy = NO. Peter Gabriel = YES. Use your best judgment and keep the musicsecret type trash out of here.
♪ What the hell are you uploading? Tell us who it is, what album it is or off of, what year and what type of music it is. Feel free to include your own personal history with a certain song if you feel so inclined.
♪ Friends only. All entries automatically post as protected, so keep them that way.
♪ Comment when taking! People who post things like to know their wasted time is appreciated. The whole point of sharing music this way is to turn people onto new shit. Tell us what you think of what you download.
♪ Don't promote your own projects. I know this sounds elitist, but I don't want this community to become overrun with every kid on the block with a 4-track.
♪ Requests are fine and dandy.
