What? This is a different kind of icontest. Instead of process of elimination, winners will be determined based on their cumulative scores for the round.
Why? Consider it an alternative to the negativity of a LIMS icontest. Nothing against them or anything, but sometimes it's nice to get positive reinforcement.
From Where? This community is not of my own design. It is the brainchild of ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) chimera_x who started it all at ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) disney_rumble. The rules and guidelines used here are all courtesy of her and used with permission. |

| RULES
- To participate, you'll have to wait for Round 2. Sign ups for Round 1 are closed. Please stay and vote, though!
- For weeks that screen caps are provided, only those screen caps may be used. Screen caps may be blended.
- Animations are not allowed.
- Icons must meet LJ standards (100 x 100, 40 kb)
- Upload your icon to a hosting site like Photobucket and post your entry in the corresponding challenge post with both the image and url link included.
- Icons should be anonymous, so no using the icon until after the contest is over.
- The person with the highest cumulative score at the end of all the challenges will be the winner.
- Each week a bonus point will be awarded for the weekly special category. Whoever gets the most votes for the bonus category will earn the bonus point. You don't have to design your icon based on the special category if you don't want to.

 | VOTING
- Every week there will be a voting period. Everyone votes for their favorite 3 icons and, preferably, provide a reason why the icons were chosen. A 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded each week.
- At the end of each voting period votes will be tallied and points will be awarded as follows:
- 1st= 3 points
- 2nd= 2 points
- 3rd= 1 point
- A point will be awarded for each challenge in which you submit an icon. There are 10 challenges per round.
- There will also be a special category to vote for each week, worth 1 point.
- If a tie should occur, both participants will receive the points for the place they tied for.
- There will also be a special category to vote for each week.
- Cheating will not be tolerated.
