Mod: The "Start" Challenge
Greetings, everyone!

I think I've managed to sort out the challenge rules, so here's a brief overview of how they work:

The new challenge will be posted on Saturday, once every two weeks. From that point, you'll have two weeks to post your response (pretty much until the challenge is declared officially closed, in case I'm running late). While the challenge is in session, submissions cannot be crossposted to other communities.

Please state that your submission (fan fiction or, heck, fanart) is a challenge response. It will be archived with the other responses, in addition to its place in the Fan Fiction section of the Memories.

Submissions can be any length, but somewhere around 500 to 1500 words is preferable. The idea is to encourage shorter stories.

Please follow the usual story posting formats.

For those of you that aren't interested in playing along, the community will still be accepting fan fiction, fanart, and the like that's independent of the community challenge. Just keep on posting. ;)

Start

Starting something? Something won't start, no matter how hard you try? Got a head start? Had a false start? Starting off on an awfully big adventure? Whatever you want, it's up to you. :)

I don't know about you, but the word "start" is looking like one of the strangest words I've ever seen at this point. You have until May 20th, 2006 at midnight.
