Weird Question, PLOX HALP!

So I have a quick question for PS2 people? Or anyone for that matter. My wireless internet died, so I'm having my friend set it up through the cable modem as we speak, since it doubles as both; since we can't find the IP address to the router. But my PS2 is connected to the router and works fine. Is there anyway to find out the router's IP address on PS2 while playing FF? Long shot, stupid question prolly; but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I'm a little confused as to what is happening. You "wireless internet died" do you mean your router broadcasts your cable signal, but now suddenly doesn't? Or you have a wireless network card and just get your internet from satellite or whatever?

If it's the former, then the router just might need a reset. I have a wireless router and it's a pain in the ass, often likes to stop broadcasting my cable signal >.<. The standard way to reset a router is disconnect its power for 15-30 seconds. This fixes most problems I've encountered (I used to be the IT girl at my company X-D ).

Why do you need to find the IP address "on PS2 while playing FF?"? The router IP address shouldn't change as far as I know. It varies from model to model, but they're usually of the form 192.168.X.X. It would be in the manual somewhere, if you no longer have it I'm sure there's a copy online somewhere.

If however you mean you want the IP address your PS2 is using, then one way to do that is connect to your router's config. My router does this by a local webpage... I point my internet browser to 192.168.2.1 (or something, I forget exactly X-D ), and somewhere in there will be a place where you can see all the "currently connected devices". They'll just be ip addresses so you won't know what they are, but if you turn off the PS2 and a number goes away, then that's it of course.

Hope I understood the problem correct, good luck ;-)
