Before I give out the results let me tell you about my appointments I had yesterday. The OB says everything looks on track and that I'm measuring the proper amount of inches for my pregnancy. I haven't been bleeding so the doctor says as long as the subchorionic hematoma looks like it resolved and I'm not spotting then I can just stay on the regular once a month prenatal appointments. I was warned that the tech can't tell me too much.
I have a retroverted uterus (backwards leaning) which is why I don't show until late. It can increase my chances of having back labor, but otherwise really isn't a problem. It turns out that is part of the reason I had so many additional ultrasounds with Ed. I guess the doctors like to see if it will correct itself during pregnancy. At this stage of pregnancy it is good to have the baby in a breech position but once I'm closer to my due date the breech position might mean we'll have to try to turn the baby. Having a retroverted uterus can encourage the baby to stay breech, but it truly isn't a problem unless the uterus becomes incarcernated.
At the ultrasound the baby sat breech and made it difficult to take the measurements. We saw the baby's face but the angle made the baby look slightly demonic in my opinion. Tom was upset by my comment but I'm sorry the baby looked evil. Not that the baby is anything but loved it was just creepy. Because of the difficulty getting measurements and the forementioned retroverted uterus I may have another ultrasound.

As I type this Ivan is relaxing on the bed, wondering about his New Mom's taste in music. He is good little cat and very, very sweet with a mischievously streak a mile wide. he thinks escaping his: "nursey" is a game or hide and seek. And he's not eating his dried food, but will eat anything else I offer him. |

| Gender Ultrasound- Guessing Time |

Okay, so let's make this fun. Tom has decided we will be finding out the sex of the baby (if the baby cooperates) tomorrow. So let's hear what you think the gender of the baby is! I'll announce the results on my birthday. I'll give you what the gender "predictors" have said thus far and other stuff to make your own guess.
Chinese Calendar Prediction: Girl
Average Heartbeat: 157 bpm = Girl
Currently not showing unless baby decides to move towards the front, carrying baby high and towards my back. Baby is a strong kicker.
Ring Test: Girl
Mom-to-be's feeling: GIRL
Morning sickness lasting past first trimester and it was fairly bad in first trimester not as bad in second trimester.
Craving spicy foods and chocolate.
This pregnancy has me losing weight well into second trimester. I lost only in the first trimester with Ed.
I have a higher sex drive in this pregnancy than previous pregnancies (not that it does me any good).
This is one of the rougher pregnancies I've had.
Much more acne in this pregnancy.
So com'on and guess!!! And since my son was a stinker and didn't let me see (until 32 weeks), people can guess that the baby won't show the goods.
