Terra confirmed for Dissidia

Granted we all knew it was going to be her, but still, y'know?

If you're in the mood to hear some voice acting, FFVI style, I recorded a bunch of voices of various characters. Download them here if you're interested! It comes with a character guide, but if you wanna cheat, here's what you can expect:

Oh yeah, and I used this script for most of them...although I had to fall back on the original translation for one. Chances are you'll be able to pick it out.

(the airship in the first one is from the second movie. It belongs to ANOTHER obsessive millionare loner with purple eyes and a penchant for world-shaking risks. As for the team choices in the second one, the first two can learn the most random move there is, and the first and last can learn Fly. So there.)

Summary: She always seemed to be there, a beautiful creature that would invade his peaceful night sky.

It got denied to a fanfiction e-zine, but I haven't gotten any feedback from anyone so far what it needs work on. Not asking for concrit, just felt like rambling I guess. :-D

Hi all!

New member, thought I'd say hi! I was inspired to join upon discovering that FFVI gets no love throughout the internet community. I'm trying to redo my LJ theme to TerraxSabin, which I knew would be difficult since I'm about the only person who ships them, but I'm having trouble finding a lot of Terra and Sabin's practically nonexistant. Or maybe I've been looking in the wrong places. Regardless, I'm happy to be aboard. :-D

I'll probably be posting fanfiction, since these are my favorite characters to work with, though the FFXII crew is a close second. But since it's 2 AM and I should be going to bed, I just wanted to see if anyone had any cosplaying advice. I'm in the beginning steps of a Terra costume for myself and a Shadow costume for my boyfriend... and beginning as in I'm having a hard time finding fabric for Terra's dress despite the damn thing looking so simple. I did see some cosplaying pictures on the community so was kind of looking for any advice. This is my first serious cosplay, though I've done half-assed Rinoa and Rikku costumes.

Some musings on the game...

-This is one of the few media I've ever seen where the chancellor *isn't* an evil rat out to overthrow the kingdom. The Figaro Chancellor runs things fairly in Edgar's absence (or at least Edgar never objects), and seems ready to turn things back to the king upon the party's success.

-Cyan's grief is handled pretty nicely at the end. He never fully gets over it, but he's willing to move past it, and help others (Lola) do the same. (Which is more than I can say for a certain other FF hero who spends the entire spinoff series in a constant mope...)

-Do the characters not talk to each other in between plot points or what? Because Locke should have seen Terra use magic by the time they battle the Magitek Armor. And Terra claims to have only been told Locke's name by Edgar...which is bizarre because we never see Edgar actually do so. So what the hell here?

Terra last name was Branford right?

Where did she get that last name? Her father...her mother?
Did Gesthal give her that last name?
Or maybe that isn't her real last name?

Or the creators just never thought of that...>_<..just gave her a last anme for the sake of having one.
( i'm sure that isn't maduin lastname)

It just feels very awkward.Then again... it might be something i didn't pay attention to.

I was wondering if anyone had an mp3 of the second song in this video, which starts at 1:15. The only place I've heard it before is in the jp commercial for 6; googling to even find a title has left me empty handed. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

So, can I ask a dumb question?

I'm halfway considering getting a portable game system for myself. The last one I had was the old, blocky, grey plastic Game Boy from 1990 and was shared with my two brothers. So I guess *I* didn't really have it. And as much as I love it, I think it might be time for an upgrade. :)

I know that FF6 was released for the Game Boy Advance. But that system's getting old, now, isn't it? I see that Square is remaking FF4 for the Nintendo DS, and I was wondering if anyone knew if they have plans for re-releasing FF6 on the DS. Because that would be very cool.

At the Game Stop near my house, both the GBA and FF6 cost $25, making it $50 total if I wanted to get both the system and game. But... I don't know. Do any of you own FF6 on the GBA? How is it?

Remember the videos of anime opening sequences re-animated with the FF6 cast? The FMA one has been completed. :) Take a watch!

Tetsuya Nomura's Wikipedia article states that he was a "minor character designer" for FFVI.

I wonder which characters these were? Probably anyone and everyone other than the main 14 characters + villains (and Bannon etc.). I would love to see those designs. What if he did drawings of, like Darill, Elayne & Owain, Duncan... Because all we ever see of them are the sprites! That would be awesome if they ever released artbooks of all the concept art of the Final Fantasy games.

And I wonder who designed the Opera scene? I've never seen an official illustration of Maria other than what they did for the PlayStation remake.

So I thought of something about why the moogles were so eager to help Locke fight the Narshe guard.

When the guards advance on Terra, about half of them come out of the door we later finds leads to the moogle den. I'm betting moogles are territorial, or the guards messed it all up.
