Question on Any Video Encoder

I wanted to save some of my video files from youtube and turn them to WMVs after loosing some files on my PC. Now although I have set the login thing on AVE, it cant seem to login (I have triple and quadruple checked the passwords) ... so I got another free program to download the flv files from Youtube, thinking I could then convert to WMVs afterwards.... but AVE then just sits for an hour saying Encoding, 0%.

I have looked in the help section and cant find anything... what am I missing, or can you reccomend another free (legal) program?

Anyone in Australia need some foam latex?

I have a little over 1/2 gallon of GM foam latex that I need to sell as I'm moving to LA on the 21st of this month. I'm located in Brisbane Australia.

It's the full kit including the mold release, curing agent, foaming agent, gelling agent and foam latex base. It was a 1 gallon kit and a bit less than half has been used.
Barnes sells the 1 gallon GM kit in Australia for $275.00 plus postage (the price of makeup here is totally a factor in me moving to LA) so i guess i can sell it for $100 (plus postage, but pick up would be better/cheaper/easier).

If you are interested please let me know, or let your sfx friends know as i really need to sell it before I move.

I can get a Currier if anyone outside of Brisbane is interested, I don't know how much that would cost but can find out.

or if you know any communities I should post this in as well that would be a help.

Man BItes God Music Video Competition

Australian band, Man Bites God, are bribing aspiring film makers with a chance to win AU$500 by making a music video featuring a Man Bites God song of their choice.

“A number of fans have made their own music videos for the band over the last few years and we wanted to recognise their efforts with a competition”, explains the band’s drummer and professional video director Chris Tomkins. “We’re not expecting anything amazingly polished for the $500 prize, we just want to see what great ideas are out there.”

The competition runs until November and is a simple as choosing a Man Bites God song, making a video and uploading to Man Bites God’s YouTube channel in order to be judged in November.

The band are looking for anything from surreal to literal, live-action, machinema, animation or some other technique that hasn’t been invented yet.

Hi,
I recently made my very first short movie.
It's called Swashbuckled, and centers around the epic "Pirate Vs. Ninja" conflict, but with a twist.
As it is a first production, as mentioned, there is of course room for improvement. Still, feedback would be nice. :)

Hello, I'm Hayley. I'm a twenty-year-old filmmaker from England.

I recently co-wrote and directed a 2 and a half minute film called Olivia, Explorer about a little girl who is accidentally left behind by her family one day as they go on their annual holiday to Wales. The film explores Olivia's imagination and naivety as she tries to find her own way there.

The film was featured on youtube's homepage twice (first on UK/Ireland, then Globally.)
Considering the budget for the film was only £7 (approx. $14) and was planned, written, directed, edited and composed in under two weeks I'm surprised (albeit pleasantly) by the positive response - it now has over one million views! Kind of odd.

Anyhow, it would be great if you guys could tell me what you think...Criticism more than welcome!
