Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
NO PLAGUE LIKE HOME once again got an incredibly positive response.
The audience loved it.
People were coming up afterwards to shake hands and introduce themselves.
One lady suggested I show it at the Fort Lauderdale Film Festival.
It's strange. I think it may actually be the most popular episode of ELECTRA ELF.
What's most weird is that there's a segment of our audience (the art stars) who aren't even aware of this since they haven't seen it. (The usual people who show up at most screenings have never been there to see it.)
I guess it doesn't matter since I seem to be reaching new people every time.
I honestly didn't expect it to be so popular since it covers alot of information in a non-linear way. It's a relief that people are receptive to something that's both experimental and jammed with information attacking the Illuminati. Apparently audiences are more sophisticated than the dominant culture that spoon feeds them lies every day.

Rev. Jen Goes to the Movies!
An evening with the Patron Saint of the Uncool,
featuring movies by and starring Reverend Jen
Tuesday, May 8th 7 PM
10 bucks (includes post-screening pizza party!)
Pioneer Theater: 155 East 3rd Street 212.591.0434
For reservations: http://www.twoboots.com/pioneer/

For one night only, downtown celebutante, author and
art star, Reverend Jen, will stun audiences with the
sheer hilarity and brilliance of movies that she has
starred in, written or directed. (And if audiences
aren’t stunned at least they get complimentary pizza
afterward.) Since the screening is only an hour and
forty minutes long, she’ll only be showing her faves –
cinematic gems sure to light up the screen. Included
are the following:

Doo-Doo, Exile in Teletubbyland (directed by John
Ennis): What happens when Reverend Jen dons a brown
teletubby suit and hits the streets claiming to be the
“Pete Best” of the Teletubbies? For one thing, she
gets thrown out of FAO Schwartz!

Whitney le Blanc, NYU Hooker (directed by John Ennis):
Madness ensues when Reverend Jen goes undercover with
a hidden camera, to portray “Whitney le Blanc” a
former NYU student who turns to prostitution in order
to pay back 64,000 dollars in student loans!

Reverend Jen’s Really Cool Neighborhood (directed by
Reverend Jen): Installments from Rev. Jen’s
never-before-seen TV show. Jen interviews downtown
luminaries and engages in avant-garde puppetry from
the discomfort of her troll museum.

Electra-Elf, “I SCREAM for Ice Cream!” (written by
Reverend Jen, directed by Nick Zedd: One of the latest
episodes from Jen and Nick’s increasingly popular
cable access superhero show. This episode features an
ice-cream-cone-headed supervillain and a giant Cookie
Puss ice-cream cake on a blind rampage!

And that’s just a taste! This evening will be many
things to many people, but guaranteed it won’t be
boring!

Hey, these are great, but can you put most of it under an LJ cut? if you need to know how, just ask.

Since this posting group is made up of a large group of members, and if you're a "friend" of the group you get all of the messages in your friends page, long posts like these take up the majority of the page. It's not that they're not interesting, it's just a matter of space and courtesy.

A livejournal cut, or LJCut, allows the poster to give an intro, and then a link to "read more." to do this, and i highly recommend you do when the posting is longer than 2 or 3 paragraphs with photos that could be considered not appropriate in a standard office-space, you can do the following when writing the post.

To LJ CUT:

1. write text in text box as usual.
2. choose a place to "cut" the post. generally, after an intro paragraph is the best, and type the following (but remove the asterisks ***, had to imput them here so that the coding would show up)
<***lj-cut text***="whatever you want your link text to say" ***>***
3. if you are only cutting photographs for items that aren't safe for most work places, in your text you'd want to note something like, "NWS" for "not work safe" to end the cut, type and text will appear after the code
the code for this is <***/lj-cut***>***
still have questions? just ask
