The electrocuted Vader shot is kind of startling.

*notices distinct lack of Ewok*

I don't mind the Ewoks so much. Sure, they're physically unlikely--fighting koalas? Mein Godt--but they're fun monsters. The scene between Leia and the first one we meet is phenomenal because (a) it gives Carrie Fisher a chance to shine on her own, (b) the Ewok's chatter as he contemplates Rebel cuisine and whispers about approaching bad guys is frighteningly natural, and (c) that moment where Leia picks the li'l bugger up makes the girls squeal, which I always enjoy.

It's the TV movies and the cartoon Ewoks I can't stomach.

Ackbar rocks.

in the version of this movie that replays in my mind, the ewoks were all put in death camps prior to the rebels arrival.

ewoks > gungans. i can do without the jedi rocks song though, ugh. and wasn't the sarlacc more scary when it wasn't a mario plant monster? and did we really need jar jar to say the last line in the entire trilogy? and is it necessary to have a young anakin? why not settle for we see the young versions of them all? or old, then young? yeah yeah yeah, i know, it's because anakin "died" when he was good but technically, he was an ass then and already murdered his wife with a broken heart...hah...dammit....anyway......
