You mean you didn't enjoy the military-attacks-the-aliens scene which was basically two clips looped over and over for about 10 minutes???

These are great stills. But the dialogue in this is great too. And by great I mean painfully, side-stitchingly hilarious.

Thank you.

"Now, don't you worry. The saucers are up there. The graveyard is out there. But I'll be locked up safely in there."

"Visits? That would indicate visitors."

"This is the most fantastic story I've ever heard."
"And every word of it's true, too."
"That's the fantastic part of it."

YES.

You lj-cut with my favorite line from the movie (I almost typed 'future' there). I actually recognized Criswell from a couple other movies on MST3k later on.

Can fuseji's mind stand the horror of grave robbers from outer space?

Quite possibly the greatest line in any movie ever.

That is gold, but everything Criswell said was gold. The prologue had me laughing through the first ten minutes of the movie.

She's so hot. Did you see Ed Wood (the movie)? What did you think of Lisa Marie as Vampira?

I LOVE that movie, I think it's Tim Burton's best. I thought she looked and moved exactly like her, though her delivery was really flat and particuarly "valley girl" sounding...maybe it was done on purpose?

I am not sure how Vampira naturally talked, but I felt Lisa Marie maybe didn't do it right, too. But it was good none-the-less!

Aw, you included a shot of Lyle Talbot (the general) standing in front of a grey canvas, pretending to be in battle! My favorite part! Great stills.

Thank you! And are you kidding me, that was the best/stupidest part. I know, how does one choose? For me what sealed the deal was having him stand in front of nothing, then cutting away to stock footage of soliders in battle, then cutting back to him, and etc for about 10 minutes.

It's awesome, and I admit part of my amusement is that Talbot was a pretty big actor in the 1930s for MGM. I'm a huge fan of his. Apparently he once filmed a scene for Wood near the studio when his old friend James Cagney happened by, and Cagney was so amused he almost joined Talbot in the scene. But then authorities came along and chased everyone away for not having a filming permit. I would have LOVED to see Cagney in an Ed Wood film.
