i watch the stage musical and the movie.

of course the broadway show was better. =)

but the movie was still good.

This movie got such a bad rap from the critics. But critics don't know nothing. It was a hoot.

...Whenever there are two versions of a movie, for me I always like the version I get to see first. :( In this case, I saw the broadway musical first, then the original 1968 movie. I watched the original because of the broadway version.

But I do love Gene Wilder!! I love him more as Dr. Fronkinsteen. :D

Oh goodness, I hated this version. Broderick was so wrong for that role.

Incidentally I love love love love love the version from the 60's. No one will ever replace Gene Wilder.

Ditto. Broderick kept slipping out of character and it annoyed the hell out of me.

But the film's visuals are very fun and musical-y.
