after hearing so many orgasmic reviews, i was a little disappointed by this :/

it was pretty good, though.

Me too. It's pretty, but I didn't find the story to be particularly inspired.

Me three. I thought it was kinda overrated. It was good, but I didn't feel much depth to any of the characters.

Technically/visually... a great accomplishment.

I still disliked the story.

Fawn owes me coffee!
Loved the visuals...not a big fan of the story. Did not hate it, but it did not live up to the hype for me. Great caps!

I should probably see this again. Last time I did I thought it needed more labyrinth.

I heard a lot about this film and what was really annoying is I recorded it on Sky Plus, got 100 minutes in and the recording finished prematurely. Regardless of what movie, watching all of it apart from the end is very annoying.

Either way, I quite enjoyed it. Didn't know what to expect before sitting down, which is always good.
Very pretty girl too.

I agree!
I adore the story, it's the most hauntingly beautiful fairy tale.

I agree. I thought this was one of the best film-stories I'd seen in recent memory. Perhaps I enjoy the darkness of fairy tale worlds in general -- I'm quite drawn to that sort of thing -- but it had such depth. It was a film with such a beautiful soft heart, which must have been difficult to accomplish in such a disturbing and otherwise hopeless setting.

This film totally failed to captivate me. The fantasy sequences were inspired but they were few and far between.

mercedes was so kickass, i loved it.

and i think it was the juxtaposition of the fantasy/horros of fascism that really made this movie great.
