I had not posted here in awhile as I was not sure that the Wheel would continue turning for us. Then as it appeared that there would just be the one book left, I really just wanted to talk on points that I thought were unresolved and how that might happen in A Memory of Light.
Now that there will definitely be three more books, I am going to try a return to posting here. Expect a surge during The Gathering Storm.

So I was perusing
mistborn and was excited to see that Memory of Light will likely be 600,000 to 700,000 words long. That is twice what the longest Wheel of Time is now. This will be a massive book. Woohoo!!
I just found out that a author has been chosen to complete A Memory of Light. Brandon Sanderson is a fantasy novelist who has had recent success and is also a fan of the Wheel of Time. Brandon is over at
mistborn and posts some of his thoughts about the daunting task of completing the series. Go over and say something positive.
I have decided to do some housekeeping on this journal first. New theme and cleaning up the format for the posts. I have gone back and added some commentary to the questions and given a little background into what I was thinking of when I wrote the question.
Early on, the gholam seemed to have received instructions from Sammael. Internal dialogue from the gholam in Crown of Swords supports this. But the gholam also was sent to kill Herid Fel. Herid Fel would only have been viewed as a threat by Moridin or the Dark One himself. The possibility of more than one gholam exists, but not likely. Does the gholam operate autonomously or does it need direction? The internal dialogue also supports the independent nature. The gholam is a construct but how much control does it allow or need?
I know a few people were actually reading my questions of the day posts for a bit there. Sorry to anyone that found them interesting and suddenly found them missing. I got married back in April and just did not have the time to continue posting everyday. I am going to try to get back in the swing of things.
Satelle Anan demonstrates considerable will for what normally would be considered just an innkeeper. Oft times the suggestion has been made that if a stilled woman can find something to replace the loss of being able to touch the One Power. Satelle has most definitely involved herself in her community. She has a intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the White Tower. She will treat sisters with little or no deference but expects others to do so.
Can a person be turned to cuendillar?
Will Mat reunite with the Band of the Red Hand?
Are the prophecies of the Aiel, Amayar and Tuatha'an interelated?
Which impossible things has Cadsuane accomplished?
Due to her longevity and perceived ability to lie, is it reasonable to assume that Cadsuane avoided the Oath Rod?
The drive of Nynaeve to gather followers for Lan as he crosses the Borderlands is a one of my favorite sequences in the whole series. The imagery of Weilin Aldragoran laughing and crying as Nynaeve explains that Lan will ride to the Last Battle brings to mind a staggering multitude, likely all of the Malkieri.
Did Vandene kill Adeleas?
There are strong implications in the philosophy espoused by Ishamael and Herid Fel that the Dark One can not die. Also, when the Forsaken have described being in the Dark One's presence, it was very intangible. It might even be that the Dark One does not have a physical body. Which may be why it uses Shaidar Haran. In the case of a lack of body, balefire may be unable to affect him at all. If he does have a body other than Shaidar Haran, is he powerful enough to resist balefire in some way?
So far, it is indeterminant whether or not ta'veren is a life long trait or just for a term of period that that wheel weaves into their lives. It would be interesting to see what their lives will be like after Tarmon Gai'don.
As Shadar Logoth has been consumed in the process for cleansing saidin, will Ordeith feel the loss? How will it affect him? Will those influenced by Ordeith ease in the tensions caused by that evil?
It seems likely that Shaidar Haran does channel. At the very least, his interaction with Alviaran speaks to that. But as a myrddraal, he would not likely channel saidin or saidar. He would really only have the True Power available to him. Without eyes, we can not witness the saa, but his abilities exceed the normal range of the myrddraal. It might be that the True Power is the Dark One.
