AboutAIDS is something that affects us all, whether we have it or not. The epidemic grows everyday, while most us sit unaware, or choose to be ignorant. It's time as World Citizens we stand up and make a difference. The numbers of those dying with AIDS has become staggering in places like Africa and many other developing countries. Each and every single day the number of new people infected grows. Together we CAN make a difference. We can erase the stigmas, we can make noise so our governments will hear us and help, we can educate ourselves and each other, together we can beat AIDS.
AIDS STATISTICS
Worldwide:
-More than 42 million people are infected with HIV/AIDS.
-Over 20 million people have already died from HIV/AIDS.
-Everyday 14,000 people become newly infected with HIV.
-Eastern Europe & Central Asia have the fastest growing HIV epidemics in the world.
-95% of people with HIV live in the developing world.
This community is for coming together in hopes of making a difference. Discussions about current events related to AIDS, petitions, news, AIDS prevention, sexual education, support, and how to make a difference are all welcome.
