Welcome to Fanfic Writing for Fun

We're the community that posts a challenge that any member can contribute. There aren't many rules. The important one is that your fics need to fall into the fandomes indicated below. Also, your contribution can't be shorter than 100 words or longer than 2,000. No WIP's (works in progress please). And this isn't necessarily a rule, but members are cordially invited to provide topics for future challenges. Please!!

Fandoms are as follows: Angel, BSG, Bones, Buffy, Dr. Who, Firefly, Supernatural, and the X-Files.

Would anyone like to add something we missed?

The best rule is that you can post your fic for any challenge at any time. Just make sure the subject of your post includes the challenge number and the title.

The story format is as follows:

Subject Line: Challenge # and name of challenge

Fic Title: Name of your story

Fandom: The name of the television show your fic is based upon

Characters: The characters you have chosen to represent

Word Count: Total number of words for your fic

Rating: Follow normal rating rules - R and above ratings should be under a cut

Author: LJ User Name

Author's Notes: Anything you want to add

The newer challenges will have a topic only. The characters and TV shows chosen is all up to you.

Challenges to date:

Challenge #9: Fantasy Fic - Immerse yourself in the verse of your choice (from our list). What do you do? Who do you meet? And most-importantly, do you even want to leave?

Challenge #8: A glimpse of what a relationship looks like from the outside. (i.e. What does Joyce think about Buffy's relationship with Giles? Or what does Lee think when he watches his father with Roslin?)

Challenge #7: Two characters from two separate shows (Angel, Buffy, Bones, Supernatural, and the X-Files), strand them on a desolate road in separate cars, and then have them team up to investigate a strange noise in the woods.
