The Monster Within

  • Jul. 17th, 2008 at 7:40 PM
Title: "The Monster Within"
Rating: PG13ish
Characters/Pairing: Darla/Lindsey
Setting: Undisclosed location between Ats seasons 2 and 3
Summary: Darla shows up in Lindsey's life once again
Thanks to: [info]carlyinrome for the beta! With more time, I could have done so much more with this thanks to her comments, but I was feeling the pressure of the deadline, so wherever this is still lacking is entirely my doing.
A/N: Written for the [info]cya_ficathon, for a request of Darla/Lindsey, with Angel and/or Angelus (sorry, I skimped there because I wanted to keep it as close to canon as possible), pregnant vampire Darla, and no happy endings

She walks back into his life on a Tuesday night. )

Maybe Okay (The Tiny Little Parts Remix)

  • Jun. 23rd, 2008 at 8:27 PM
Title: Maybe Okay (The Tiny Little Parts Remix)
Summary: The summer after Willow's breakdown and near world-ending-destruction, Buffy and Xander find a different way to connect and deal.
Pairing: Buffy/Xander
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: Joss Whedon owns all.
Written for: [info]remixredux08, as a remix of [info]sroni's original story Not Okay
Notes: Story starts almost immediately after the season 6 finale.

...a tiny little part of you... )

And I thought once I got caught up, I'd get all new fics posted here in a timely manner, ha. This was originally posted in April anonymously here.

Split the World

  • Nov. 23rd, 2007 at 12:34 PM
Title: "Split The World"
Disclaimer: I don't own anything.
Written for: The 'I Will Remember You' 2007 B/A Marathon
Summary: They'd break down the barriers between time, space and dimensions to have just one more day together. Set in an AU-ish future.
A/N: Big thanks to [info]southernbangel for the beta, and to [info]chrisleeoctaves, once again, for all the work she puts into making this marathon run smoothly.

When time and space divides them... )

Ten Summer Moments

  • Sep. 9th, 2007 at 11:53 AM
Title: "Ten Summer Moments"
Disclaimer: I don't own anything.
Written for: [info]summergal25 for [info]southernbangel's Fluffathon.
Request: Buffy/Angel, Willow/Oz, Xander/Anya, beach, summer, baby.
Summary: After 3 nearly fully written and then scrapped attempts to use all the prompts in one coherent story, I finally gave up and decided to keep the three requested couples disconnected, and it resulted in a series of ten semi-connected (by the theme of summers over the years) drabbles.
A/N: This is unbeta'ed, because I don't like too much tweaking drabbles after working to get them to the exact 100 word count (and also because I finished this really late. Like... this morning.), but if you notice any blatant errors, please correct me.

Under the summer sun )

Xander's Candy Demon

  • Jul. 28th, 2007 at 9:21 PM
Title: "Xander's Candy Demon"
Disclaimer: Joss is God, I am merely his follower.
Written for: [info]cinder1013 for [info]carlyinrome's Old School Btvs Ficathon.
Prompt: Angel/Xander, cocoa and an out of place holiday - and I totally cheated with the "out of place holiday" - you see a reference to a "vacation"? That's it. Also cheated on the Angel/Xander - it's more friendly than slashy. Sorry!
Rating: Teen (obscure references to sex [of the fill-in-the-blanks variety], one curse word)
Additional warnings: This is deeply silly.
Timeline: Vague and AU-ish, but season 3 pre-"The Zeppo"
Huge thanks to: Our lovely and wonderful hostess, [info]carlyinrome for her hostessing and the beta job! (remaining mistakes and messiness are entirely my own fault)

How Xander and Angel spent their Friday night. )

The last of the back-dated fics! All future postings here should be (hopefully) at time of first posting. Yay for being done!
Title: it would be better if we could all go peacefully
Prompt: “To die will be an awfully big adventure” James M Barrie (for [info]fraternizing)
Summary: Five funerals for Dunder Mifflin employees. Ensemble fic.
Disclaimer: I'm not associated with the creative minds behind The Office, and am not profiting from the distribution of this fic.
Notes: This is not intended to be an actual straight timeline of events; it's more a series of separate 'what if's, which is why some of the vignettes take place in the future while some felt more suited to an AU version of the present or even the past, and also why two characters might be able to attend each other's funerals, why pairings aren't always consistent with the timeline (also because I started it before the S3 finale aired), etc.

Fabrication

  • Jul. 28th, 2007 at 9:13 PM
Title: "Fabrication"
Characters: Jim and Pam
Summary: A short little scene as a follow up to a certain incident from "Back From Vacation" (written quickly, pretty much immediately afterwards - just a teeny little ficletty thing)
Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with the show or characters and am not profitting in any way.

You'd let someone know, right? )

After Ten Rounds

  • Jul. 28th, 2007 at 8:49 PM
Title: "After Ten Rounds"
Characters: Jim and Ryan, with Jim/Pam, Ryan/Kelly
Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with the show or characters.
Summary: Alcohol makes Ryan chattier than usual and he gets involved with Jim's relationship drama.
A/N: This was for [info]yankeeficswap as a Christmas gift for the request: "Ryan somehow acting as a catalyst for the Jim/Pam relationship. I just think he's the last person we'd expect to care about that, and I'd love to see someone tackle that." Also, now looking back, I think Karen and Jim were already pretty obvious about the fact that they were in a relationship pre-Christmas, but re-reading it I seemed to have assumed they were hiding it. I don't know what that was about. AU.

After ten rounds, some guys get chatty... )

Title: 10 Reasons Jim Hates and Loves Christmas at Dunder Mifflin
Characters: Jim, Jim/Pam (eventually), starting off general and featuring Dwight, Phyllis, Michael, Angela...
Summary: Originally planned title was, ""Five Christmas Moments in the Office that Jim Really Disliked, and Five That Actually Made Him Really Happy" (but that's a little long). 10 random Christmas moments Jim had over the years.
Spoilers: Only up to mid-season two - this skips over Christmas 2006 (as it was written shortly before that episode actually aired, and I didn't want to speculate too much), featuring past Christmases and one imagined future Christmas

Christmas can mean stockings full of all of your favorite things, or stockings full of coal. )

Badass Manly Soldier Guys

  • Jul. 28th, 2007 at 8:19 PM
Title: "Badass Manly Soldier Guys"
Rating: PG? I think?
Characters/Pairing: Xander, Xander & Riley friendship (with the barest, vaguest hints of slash), and a dash of Willow
Setting: Africa, future
Summary: Xander and Riley sit on a rock and drink beer. Yup.
Thanks to: [info]alwaysjbj for the beta!
A/N: Written for the 5th round of [info]cya_ficathon Request )

Xander walks three miles once a week for this. )

For the 2006 IWRY B/A marathon, organized once again by [info]chrisleeoctaves
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: These things are getting redundant by this point.
A/N: Big thanks to [info]carlyinrome for the big help with the beta! And to [info]chrisleeoctaves for running the marathon.

Joe Normal

  • Jul. 28th, 2007 at 7:55 PM
Title: Joe Normal
Author: [info]semby
Word count: 366
Disclaimer: I have zero power.
Characters/Pairing: Spike and some guy. (hints of B/S, B/A and B/other)
Summary: Spike gives some guy a "pep talk".
A/N: Written for [info]moviequoteminis, and the quote: "Still rooting for you, mate!" from Pirates of the Caribbean - which I changed around in words and meaning, quite a bit, but it was still the inspiration.
A/N2: I originally pictured Spike saying this stuff within a slightly bigger ficlet, but it grew and grew and eventually wanted to be the story on it's own. So it's in a weird format of Spike's voice directed at another person, but that's what it wanted to be.

I've got to tell you, you've complicated things. )

Down the Rabbit Hole

  • Jul. 28th, 2007 at 7:37 PM
Title: "Down the Rabbit Hole"
Setting: Future
A/N: A response to the [info]good__evil "Mystery Challenge" which had a list of characters, objects, and phrases. The only requirements were that we include one from each list, and that it be posted anonymously first.
Character, Object, Phrase included: Faith, a mirror, "Did he who made the lamb make thee?"
Summary: Buffy takes a trip (more like an acid trip than a vacation, by the way. It's weird.).
Disclaimer: Not mine.
Thanks to: [info]lillianmorgan for the beta!

Moving On

  • Jul. 28th, 2007 at 7:35 PM
Title: Moving On
Pairing: Xander/Other, Giles/Xander friendship, references to Xander/Anya.
Category: POV, some angst
Disclaimer: I don't own the characters; not making any profits.
Summary: Two years post-Chosen, Xander turns to Giles for guidance.
Thanks to: My beta-reader, [info]garnigal. All remaining mistakes are mine.

Better Than Bouncy Bits

  • Jul. 28th, 2007 at 7:16 PM
Title: "Better Than Bouncy Bits"
Characters: Mark and his girlfriend (with heavy Jim/Pam mentions)
Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with the show or characters.
Notes: Set in an AU where Jim transferred back to Scranton and moved back into his old house and didn't date Karen (was written pre-Merger, so at the time it was a "hypothetical future" rather than AU - I got Jossed, yo).
Summary: Mark and his girlfriend's reactions after their first double date with Jim and Pam.

So naive! It's endearing, really. )

The Bi-Weekly Scranton Update

  • Jul. 28th, 2007 at 7:09 PM
Title: The Bi-Weekly Scranton Update
Pairing/Characters: Mainly Pam, some Jim/Pam, and references to almost everybody
Summary: Casino Night ended slightly differently, so Pam and Jim are still on friendly terms when he heads for Australia. She makes a point to keep him up to date with what's going on on the home front.
Author's Notes: This is AU-ish, because Jim didn’t confront Pam on Casino Night, so their relationship is as normal, but she called off her wedding anyway (because in my perfect world, Pam would be smart enough to figure out marrying Roy wasn’t the right thing for her even without that extra push from Jim). And Jim’s transfer to Stamford was not at all definite when he left for Australia.

Dear list member )

Depends Who's Looking

  • Jul. 28th, 2007 at 7:01 PM
Title: "Depends Who's Looking"
Characters: Jim and Pam
Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with the show or characters.
Notes: I see this as set pre-series, mainly because it mentions Jim having a girlfriend who doesn't fit in with the show's timeline, but also because Jim's feelings for Pam are not quite as clear to him yet as we've seen on the show (they're there, but he's still figuring them out).
Summary: Jim needs a ride; he's feeling drunk and honest.

We all see things differently. )

Title: "A Reason"
Characters: Jim and Katy
Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with the show or characters.
Notes: A "missing scene" from "Booze Cruise".
Summary: Jim "re-breaks-up" with Katy later, this time giving her more to go on.

I need something a little more… real. )

Whatever It Means

  • Jul. 28th, 2007 at 6:51 PM
Title: "Whatever It Means"
Rating: Mild R.
Disclaimer: So not mine.
Pairing: Willow/Xander
Setting: Undefined future. (Probably quite a few years after "Chosen".)
Summary: Their relationship isn't what it used to be (you always hurt the one you love).
Thanks to: [info]fickledame for the beta!

The New Stepmom

Title: The New Stepmom
Author: Semby
Rating: PG
Word Count: 1363
Summary: Veronica plays dress-up and has parental issues. In a nutshell.
Spoilers: Season 1. Vaguely set a couple years post-S1, but doesn't negate or spoil anything from S2.
Author’s Notes: Written for [info]vm_have_a_day challenge of "Have a day incognito". Big thanks to [info]fickledame for the beta!
Disclaimer: I really have no power here.
