There were many times she felt like giving up during the horcrux hunt. Their enemies were many and powerful, and they were three teenagers hiding in the woods.
A part of her understands why Ron left them. It was a lot to handle, living a half-existence and knowing their death could befall them any moment.
It all seemed so hopeless, yet Hermione stayed. She made a promise to Harry, and she wasn't about to leave him. Not now, or ever. He meant too much to her.
She'd never give up on him, even if she followed him into death.
