Request - SGA - Sheppard/Beckett - mpreg
I'm gonna put this behind a cut since it's long and probably boring to most people who don't watch Stargate Atlantis ;)

It's long, it's angsty, it's full of mpreg, and I REALLY REALLY hope someone likes it enough to write it *sends cute puppy dog looks to all the writers on the list*



Pairing of choice - Sheppard/Beckett
Main storyline - John gets Carson pregnant, with a getting together that can be before or after the pregnancy

Complication - the baby doesn't have the ATA Gene and so the city thinks it's being infiltrated by an alien lifeform and isolates Carson for (what he thinks is) no good reason.
At that point he doesn't know he's pregnant so he doesn't know why everything just stops working for him.

The baby unfortunately has set off some sort of safety device which is alerted by someone *with* the gene being host to something *without* the gene trying to access the technology.

Hope that made some sort of sense.
This has sort of been posted to another Mpreg list so if it sounds familiar, that's why :)

Now, you can toss in some angst by having Carson trapped somewhere all on his own and the others take their sweet time realising that he's missing and then having to convince the city that he's not a threat :D

And maybe when the child is ready to be born it *again* sets of the city defences and poor Carson gets trapped in a lift that won't work (it's cut off his gene access again ;)

Much angsting on John's part, all they can hear over the com is Carson going into labour and having to deliver his own baby, then nothing, they all think he's dead, but when they find him he's *not quite* dead (or dead but they rescusitate him)

He and John have their reunion and the baby (hoping for a girl) has Carson's lovely blue eyes and John's utterly adorable smile :)
