Summary: On the second anniversary of Aaron Echolls death, Veronica and Logan decide to finally set their issues to rest, at the Echolls’ cabin, with six of their nearest and dearest friends.

The Boston Red Sox's season isn't quite up in flames -- but a small fire at one of the most visible landmarks near Fenway Park can't be a good omen.

The fire Wednesday blackened some of the panels on the red, white and blue Citgo sign visible over Fenway's Green Monster, its left field wall.

Really? Even the Citgo sign is on fire? WE GOT THE HINT, GOD.

I only needed this movie to be one thing: SUPER EFFING PRETTY.

I'll admit to having been a more then just a TAD nervous/upset with my "performance" at the tri on Sunday. I felt like I was in awful shape, mostly due to my own negligent training schedule. And I was seriously doubting my ability to get up to par for the marathon a the end of next month. However, last night's run gave me hope. I managed to kick out a 10K last night, in a decent time, with no walk breaks, and plenty of energy left over for more afterward. I haven't run outside after dark in quite a while, and I realize now how much I miss it. I tend to have lots of energy right around then, and it seems I can utilize it better outdoors then I can on a treadmill. As long as I keep to runs like that, and regular intervals, then I should be in decent shape for the marathon. Of course, I reserve the right to reevaluate that statement after my first 15-miler (the longest distance I've done to this point is 14-miles).

After the run I went home and finally watched Brokeback Mountain, something I've been trying to accomplish since it was in theaters. It was just as good as I've been told it was, and Health Ledger was just AMAZING. Even if the accent he was using did give off the impression that he was chewing on his own face. *shrugs* What can you do.

In order to protect my sanity, I have decided that the Red Sox are just hilarious and have resolved to just start laughing at how much they suck.

I figure this will help me safeguard my property, my TV, all walls around me, anything within throwing distance, and probably my husband. Seriously, it's a shitload easier to just start cracking up when Manny DelCarmen WALKS IN A BASES LOADED RUN TO MAKE IT AN EIGHT RUN GAME than it is to go catatonic on one's couch.

(Seriously, a friend of mine loaned me Ennis' 'Crossed' today to give me something to write about, and I hit the roof. I brought it home to use as a reference, and showed wing2j in the interest of seeing whether my 'female reading comics issues' were rearing their head or if the book was as fucked up as I thought. He turned green and had to get up and walk around for a bit. So.)
