Artists when joining this community please send an email (to the one listed above
or place a post in the first entry to this journal) with a link to your artwork,
it will make the approval process faster and easier than flipping through pages
and pages of journals. Also when joining community you need to friend in order for
the community to show in your f-list, so that you can see everything that's going on.

This is a community for artists and writers alike.
(ARTISTS MUST JOIN COMMUNITY SO THEY MAY POST, WRITERS JUST FRIEND)
Artists will be screened when joining, once you are approved you may begin posting.
Artists will be asked to submit a sample of your work. Moderators will be approving
artists based on the technique and overall work, as to maintain a level of quality.
If you are just starting out please utilize the tutorials and help commmunities
to broaden your graphic quality. There are lots of great communities out there.

The purpose of this community is to put artists and writers together. Artists can make
posts stating how many banners they are available for and then writers can request a banner.
And then artists may post their finished banners here for everyone to ohhh and ahhh over. *g*
This is strickly on the artist's time, you may post as many or as few requests as you like!
The Rules may change at any time (will try to post on the community if that happens)

The Rules for Artists
1. Be respectful. (Writers work hard on their stories, but artists have the right to refuse poorly
written or un-beta'd work)
2. When posting state the number of banners you are open to make (1,3,5, whatever) and give the
writer(s) and estimated time of the banners completion.
3. Try to remain as close to the writer(s) original request as you can.
4. When posting artwork, place banners behind cuts and include a link to the story.
5. Show a sample of your work. (either a link to your art or a sample behind a cut)to show the
writer(s) your style of banner, some writer(s) may have a certain style they are looking for and
this will help to determine if your styles go together.
6. Include any pairing/grouping/situations/ratings that you are not willing to do.

2. Only one request per post (artists have the right to refuse pooly written/un-beta'd work)
Resources For Writers!
3. Check the artist's work before requesting to make sure that the style of work is one
that you like and feel would be complementary to your work.
4. Make sure to give credit to the artist when you post your banners!
5. Include the following information in your request post (not all information may be
available from all artists):
a. Title of the fic/banner
b. The name of the author/user as you want it on the banner
c. A working link to the story
d. The size that you would like the banner to be. (may have to be adjusted by artist)
e. The pairing/scene/additional characters (please include season/episode of the story)
f. Color preferences or a font type/color suggestion (may not be offered by all artists)
g. Any other intructions/preferences not listed.
Artwork can usually be posted at the top of the site page by using a simple link
(works at most sites) Help Posting Art Just place the link at the top of the page when posting your fic!
