new years resolutions; vox
for me, this coming year is all about listening to my inner self, finding compassion for all sentient beings, and possibly organizing my desk.


a bit rusty at the photography & i haven't found the exact bestest place in this house, yet.

140 yards of aran/bulky 2 ply
dyed on a wood stove,with water hauled from the steven's brook
then i left the pot outside to freeze because i was too lazy to finish it without running water.

& yea, fer kriest sakes, it takes a buttload of water to wash the dye and morderant out. i knew it took alot, but, never realized just hohw much! lol

Hi, I just found this community and I am making a drooly mess of my keyboard from all of the gorgeous stuff.

So far, I'm resisting the urge to spin and dye because I just got felting needles. Oh but you people are testing my resolve!!!

If I design the perfect skein, this would be it. You've nailed my two favorite colors exactly!!! All the hand dyed at the LYS are always too peptobismol, too lime, too olive or just not plied right - this is gorgeous!

For now I'm just shearing, carding, spinning and knitting, but when I get into dying one day, I'll aspire to the perfectness of this skein.

Hi Symeon, I like Vox. I have always liked pink and green in certain shades together. Some of my early blends that were very popular were in that range. I wish you a Happy New Year. Love, Carol

pinks and greens haunt me in my dreams!

thanks for visitin my blog and [info]fiber_friday maybe we can set you up with a live journal too, so you can join fiber friday!! we do weekly topics and everyone posts their contribution. it is pretty fun and amazing! and it helps me think out of my box.

i've been having lots of fun with the carder! i do wish the drum was bigger.
i really need to get a copy of "spinning in color" to have.

also, i wish i could get to a guild meeting sometime soon.
too bad it isn't on monday.
some monday we will get together!
